I'd let them all rort then we don't need to worry about it.

They get paid sh!t money anyway for a thankless job.

I'll trade my "thankless" job for $340,000 and a bottomless public chequebook. In six months last year she racked up over $398,000 in expenses.

Not afraid to say I'll do the thankless job for $340K and $390K per annum to spend on helicopters, hotels and trips to Europe.

I don't have Bronny's good looks though

Well you can put your hand up. I'll vote for you.

Don't forget about the pension she, and others, get! At Bronny's level I believe it is 75% of what she was getting paid p/a as well as 10 free domestic return flights. So she will be on around a quarter of a mill' during her dotage...

She has lost a fair bit of her pension that she would have kept if she hadn't resigned from the speaker position.

That's the reason it was so hard and took so long for Tony to convince her to resign.

Yep... I almost feel sorry for her. Imagine trying to get by on $270K a year (CPI indexed) for the rest of her life. It's gonna be grilled cheese on toast for her most nights now.

That $390k was in only six months. ;)

Probably lucky she got discounts for being a good customer. ;D
But to be fair dinkum, how much have the rest of them spent? I'd love to see a breakdown on that.
No doubt there are valid expenses and the need to do business etc but how many "study trips" are just freebies at the taxpayers expense?
(Rather than just focus on Bron,) there are plenty of others from all sides who avail themselves to our per diem. Tony Burke hardly rates a mention for one.
Having an oversight committee I think it's a case to be "seen" doing something rather than actually doing something meaningful.
Too many of the greedy pricks love lapping the gravy train.

What's that joke? "It's so cold in Canberra politicians were noticed having their hands in their own pockets" The trouble is it's no joke, either that or it doesn't get so cold in Canberra too often.

And for good measure - ABC pulls another hilarious Bronwyn mashup! This time it's Arrested Development.

No wonder Abbott wants heads to roll over there!

I found this to be a great creation and hope it helps to answer your question Willo...

Hang on and think about it.

What's the bet she will be our next Ambassador to the Holy See or Italy or maybe lovely France?

Tony would have promised at least that much in compensation for the lost retirement wealth!

Good point mate. Reckon the bookies would only give you $1.01 on that happening! And when it does, I will be shaking my head sadly.

Would Tony be that stupid? It would be an own goal.

He only sacked her because the polls were telling him that she was bad news for the libs.

If he's stupid enough to do it, he's smart enough to do it in the lead up to an election where there will be enough noise to kill it soon enough.
