Yep the young need constant quick fire entertainment, like the big bash and AFLX. Perhaps they can create a new form of Tennis where supporters can yell while the players serve, sets are made up of mini tie breaks up to 10 points, and the crowd can quickly go back to tik toking and snapchatting.
Right up special K's alley, 10 minute matches. And to ensure the crowd is always engaged they could get the k's to colour their pubes at end changes.

Correct. Give Leysy the Special K's who play with passion, fun, the odd tantrum, plenty of skill and engage the crowd ahead of nearly every other tennis player who is bland and boring.

Good on em'. That they grate on the old fuddy duddies is even better.

Leysy's 9 y.o. daughter for the first time has taken an interest interest in the sport and loves watching them play. Didnt know the rules a week ago now wants lessons.
Wait till she starts throwing her racquet and hurling abuse at Leysy!

The way Ash has been playing the only way she won't win the Final is if she flies in Greg Norman's Mindset Coach

Oh FFS, Leysey, this is bordering on child abuse. Take the the poor little tacker down to the local hound/trot/race track and get her to put $5E/W om the despised outsider and see how much she appreciates you introducing her to the sport of kings (and paupers) after it storms home. You know it makes sense!

tiger ash barty is dustin martin 2017 right now.

Incredible to watch (and back)

When her opponents are putting her slice into the net,

The commentators are calling it an unforced error. Even the smart ones.

when clearly, Our Ash is forcing dozens of unforced errors a match.

Shes unplayable alot of the time.

You can count on an Ace, or an unreturnable first serve, when shes a break point down,

In the manner you can count on kane lambert slotting a clutch goal in a prelim*

I think she'll win the AO, then the french, english and american opens, this year.

Shes twice as good as 2nd best, very much in the manner of the Tigers 2017-2022

*2018 excluded from data.

Ash Barty has lost only 21 games to reach the final. Think the record for least games conceded to win a grand slam was Graf at Wimbledon who lost 24 games.

*Edit - Navratilova lost 19 at the 83 US Open. The commentator got it wrong.

As much as Ash has played superbly to make the AO final, and our really annoying media are going to chalk it up as a lay down mizere, I think Danielle Collins is a genuine danger.

Even though ranked much lower at 27, she is a tough, mtach-hardened competitor. Bit of a dominatrix who likes to bulldoze her way through matches, playing fast, not sitting down in the breaks. Her 'gameswomanship' could unsettle Ash if she allows it. But trust that AB has a way of working out how to combat most opponents these days. Prior meetings 3/1 for AB but Collins beat her in last meeting in Adelaide I believe (never saw).

Just think she'll have to really earn her 1st AO title ... but that's how it should be anyway.

Medvedev is a *smile*.

And crowds at our events *smile* me. They should have booed him off the court but they clap him instead. We are too forgiving.

If this was overseas he would have had coins thrown at him.

Didn't AB have some injury concerns coming into last summer? Might have contributed to that loss?

Don't think it's going to make any difference this year. Tiger Girl wins in straight sets!

That'd be sweet. 3 slams for Ash to match the boys 3 flags. Might be time to set up a challenge n see who ends up with the most career titles.

On another news site, if Rafa wins, he beats Djoker to be first to 21 slams. If Medvedev wins, he takes over Djokers number 1 ranking. I guess that’s what happens when you try to be a *smile*

She picked up a leg injury during the Open last year. That was the reason she withdrew from the French partway through, so she wouldn’t aggravate it and derail her tilt at Wimbledon. So, if that’s what she can do with a niggle, no wonder she’s flying without one.

Yes and there's extra spice in that Collins' coach is Tom Couch, son of Moggs' great Paul!

Barty struggling

The AO crowds this year have been quite disrespectful.

Also why are the commentators calling her Daniel Collins?
