The Blair "Which?" Project

I'm so surprised anyone here is thinking about Crouch.

I think it's simplistic to say that we need a big clearance Midfielder to alleviate our woes.

Our midfield is not necessarily lacking in clearance players. It's lacking in two way runners.

We have some junior Cotchin types (if not Cotchin class) in Ross, Dow, Sonsie and some good established clearance players in Bolton, Dusty, Prestia.

We are badly missing two way runners, and transition midfielders. Lambert is the difference this year between 10th and 1st. The loss of an in form Edwards compounds it.

Our current crop of midfielders don't run both ways. Graham is completely defensive, Bolton runs forward of, or over, the ball on every play. Baker and Short are ball focused. Edwards can't find it, Cotchin has lost his speed to cover ground, Dusty can't get on the park, Ross has a bit of it but *smile* Aarts took him out at training.

Prestia is gold.

We need to target a Lambert type. We got the last one from Carlton's reserves. I'm not sure the GWS or Adelaide midfield has any.

I hope Blair has someone in mind if Jack doesn't go on. Balta and Gibcus aren't natural forwards so it would only leave a changing ruck like Nank/Soldo/Ryan to partner Lynch. We probably can't loose enough games to be able to draft Cadman.

God help us.
Pick the weakest & most uninspiring kid in the draft that's who will be at Punt Rd.

Been reading a few other footy board over the last few weeks .. And I have found this info re trading in the off season .
It must be true as I read it on footy boards:LOL::ROFLMAO:;).

Geelong are getting ..Bruhn, Hopper, De Goey , P. Dow .

Coolingwoold are getting DRioli ( for 3rd round draft pic ), Taranto, Daniel McStay, Bolton 2023 for 2nd round draft pick

Baker to Freo for 2nd round draft pick

Dusty to swans for a first round draft pick

Soldo to GWS for 3rd round draft pic

Were getting draft pics .. not good ones as I have found from reading these boards that our players are worth a pack of chips and a coke while players from other clubs are worth 1 or 2 first round draft pics .;)

Hardwick to coach Bummers or Port next season, wont be a Richmond

David Teague to coach Richmond in 2023

Poor Blair will have a hard job ahead of him if this is true .. From reading these boards I have also discovered that in 2023 we will be the new North and no one wants to come to Tiger land .. .. Of course the info from these boards must be true ;):p

Fantastic post CT.

And totally spot on. We've targetted Clarke for the Lablett role. But it will take him a while to get there (if ever).

Any midfielder we get, like you say - must be able to cover the turf.

I'm hoping Banks can get there too. He's chasing Mac around at training, so he wants it.

*Rioli is worth a top 10 pick. Collingwood already have Noble & Quaynor at HB.
*Baker for a low 2nd round pick is fair, shocking kick
*if Geelong get any 2 of those on your list, the AFL must audit them, because it's bullshitt, what's Jizzza, Hawkins, Selwood, Dangerflop, Blivass, Guthrie, Smith on??
*Dusty should be used to swap for ready made players pick 14 is bullshiit and we will *smile* it up picking up a dud.
*if Dimma has enough and wants to move on fair enough but If Teague took over it match the day I heard they gave the job to Frawley. Devastating news.
And the most bullshitt one, Bolton for a 2nd rounder, if went to Collingwood he would be there best player.
A lot of Bullshitt going around at the moment.
Let's see the magic our list management group comes up with this year

On Crouch, he would lessen the bartering Presita takes, releases him to the outside and spread more. Takes the Cotch battering ram role.

It should be RCD or Dow stepping into this role but neither are ready. I get huge Jarrod Lyons vibes from this Crouch situation.

Spot on.

Huge concern for me the forward line. Yes Lynch has been in & out but all the talk of our midfield being useless. I agree with chasing a Taranto Or Hopper etc , but I heard the other day we were something like only behind Geelong for inside 50's this season so we can't be to bad in the middle.

The issue is making the most of our dominance when it's up there.

Juddy is one that could gain the most if we can keep LAblett as a development coach. I really liked Morris's comments about Juddy at the weekend. The running patterns seem to be coming on for him, this positioning is exactly the type of thing that LAblett can teach him to play the same role.

And sec highest scoring side , which makes it absurd that we could possibly miss finals

If they dont lose Jackson they are gonna jam up their cap on a handfull of players.

Gawn, May, Lever, Oliver, Fatty Petracca, Jackson Brayshaw and Viney all be on fairly big coin.

Brown and Hibberd didnt go there for peanuts either, and neither did Langdon.
