RIP Charlie Pride.

What a legend Charlie was, I have very fond memories of listening to his music, a true legend.

I'm going to get drunk today and listen to his music.

Yeah, loved Le Carre's earlier novels. Small Town in Germany, Distinguished Murder, Cold, Tinker Tailor, Smiley's People.

RIP Charlie.
You could start thread on great verses in songs easy.

One of my favourites is from the late, great, Tennessee Ernie Ford's, Shotgun Boogie. There's some great lines in it.

John Edrich - English test cricketer.

I have his autograph. And I believe he hit the first ever boundary in One Day International cricket!

Dawn Wells aka "Mary Ann" from Gilligan's Island.

And no I won't be a part of sexist Ginger v. Mary Ann arguments. The Ginger tribe are the equivalent of Collingwood supporters. So, there!

Back in the day these 2 women epitomised what most men lusted for.

The bombshell and the girl next door cute wifey type.

Even as a young fella I knew they had it going on.

If I was the Professor I woulda made sure we stayed on the island ........................... I mean Ginger and Mary Annn both at hand and no competition except for a Fat grumpy Old Sea Dawg and his Numb Nuts First Mate.

RIP Mary Anne (Dawn).

Thanks for those Coconut and Banana Cream Pies

Even as an 8 year old watching after school I found Ginger and Mary-Anne strangely intriguing.

Gerry Marsden, 78, of Gerry and The Pacemakers. I think you’ll know their most famous song (which actually came from a musical, Carousel):
