Fair call CT, although I dont know who *@ck off is??

I would probably add Nicholls to that list as well.

Getting rid off 6-7 duds is enough for 1 year, then do the same for another 3-4.

When the game was in the balance that no brain Flemming dived into the opposition players like a moron and gave away crucial frees...and as for Zantuck he is typical of Richmond would rather wage a one man war than think of the team....another no brian

Laff.... have you considered the extra "mongrel" added by these guys (Fleming & Zantuck). ??? Something we havent had for years

We should keep them but find some coaching staff that can harness their muscle into putting fear into the oposition and thus winning more games.

I also agree with most of the others, except maybe JohnF's comments of Hilton. 12 months ago (before his shoulder injury) he was key player, has he had enough time to be back at full strength / key player?

Medhurst was shitting his pants wheneva Zantuck was near, I loved it at three quarter time when Cougs and Zanner were giving it to him the little purple pooof, and although it was undiciplined by Zantuck I dont really care, the little cretin deserved to get hit and its about time we had someone to give out the treatment!! Wish they ripped a few heads off too, we need that we need to be feared and its these young guys like Cougs and Zanner and Newman that will lead the way. Hit em hard so they stay hit!

Laff, we generally have the same views, but your comments about Fleming and Zantuck are way off the mark.

Fleming has limited talent, but he at least has a go. We can both name players who do not. If the "passengers" we carry every week put in as much, we would probably perform better.

As for Zantuck, he has been a revelation. None of us would have considered him a prospect two years ago, now he is every bit as important and reliable as say Andy Kellaway. He also brings to the team what we have lacked for a long, long time, that is an intimidating presence. I know he has some way to go, but he reminds me of Micky Malthouse, a player who plays to his limited abilities, does a job and provide the fear factor into the opposition. He also backs that up with action, occasionally he makes a mistake.

In another thread some are mentioning that we should trade him. Why would you trade(break up) a member of our defence, that has clearly and under extreme pressure, performed above expectations?

If this were to happen, it would IMO be a typical (of the last decade) RFC mistake.

Not much wrong with the way Flemwad and Tyzan go about their game, the rest of the players mentioned could use a dunnybrush put through them and all at the end of this year its pointless to carry any of them for another season

Spot on Laff

The game was there to be won, and Fleming gave away a number of stupid free kicks.

He has no brain, and has no idea about the state of the game. He gives away stupid free kicks like that every week, diving into packs and into players backs. He is a joke, has no skill, and although he might 'try hard', we are playing AFL footy here, and trying hard isnt good enough, if the clowns running our club seriously think he is part of our future, they are deluded.

I am not questioning their toughness and never have but they have no skill and no football smarts......grab a few replays and the amount of time Zantuck turns the ball over is unreal. As for Flemming has little or no influence on a game Hird is as tough as they come but in the AFL these days tough means courage not gangster slapping oppostition players and giving away stupid brain dead frees

we have been crying out for mongrels for years. GOT to have them.
bris...scott boys, leppa
ess johnsons, wallis in their flag years
port...hardwick, pickett and wanganeen is a sniper
adelaide...roo

these sort of players are essential. The question is, can we lift Fleming's game to match someone like a scott or hardwick?

The difference is these players have a brain aswell. Fleming is an embarrasment.

When ess weren't going well, wallis was an embarrassment too.

hardwick, pickett look much better in the top placed team.

In a great team, a mongrel like Tim is worth his weight. He is a pretty good runner and doesn't mind cutting across the front of someone leading to the ball. Skills are not great but he goes in...if our footy dept is worth their money, they will train him to avoid the stupid frees.
