Just a rumour but I heard Newman is likely to be on his way to punt road in 2022 as an assistant.
Watch this space I guess!

The Ball movement is the worst I've seen in 4 years. And our forward structure is all over the place. All roads lead to McQualter
2017 Assistant coach, midfield/stoppage: Andrew McQualter
2018 Assistant coach, midfield/stoppage: Andrew McQualter
2019 Assistant coach, forwards: Andrew McQualter
2020 Assistant coach, midfield/offensive: Andrew McQualter
2021 Assistant coach, forwards: Andrew McQualter

has a decent 4 years out of 5

Yeah, I reckon we could have appointed ClarkoGenius as Dusty's personal spatial awareness coach this year,

and he would have appeared incompetent.

its been one of those years,

largely I think, due to club-wide physical and emotional exhaustion

as a side effect of extreme dynasticality

im ok with it.

Been listening to Leppa the last few weeks on radio. Has a great tactical and teaching mind. Great analyser too. He’s especially insightful around the defensive elements of the game.

Reckon we miss him badly.

I like leppa,

but his great mind took Brisbane to 15th, 17th and 17th in his 3 years in charge.

my point being,

This Richmond made everyone a genius,

and the smartest thing leppa's ever done, may have been folding his hand after 2020?

I reckon you and I could've coached that star-studded lineup in its peak.
Look at Norths ball movement. For an 18th placed side it looks better than ours. I honestly believe we haven't evolved with the new rules.
Dogs and Cats ball movement is great. the connection between their midfield and forwards is there for all to see.
Bottom line our weakest lines this year has been the midfield and forwards, and I reckon we need fresh blood with new ideas.

Have you ever seen and heard him in action with the players, first hand ?

perfect storms happen everywhere at anytime in all sorts of situations, sport and otherwise.. timing is everything ...

that's happened with RFC and now it's time to reset.

maybe not drastically, but with consideration and purpose.

a couple of new assistants, players, and a good draft.

That’d be a surprise, as I understand he’s very tight with Sam Mitchell.

no.

I did see and hear Dusty win 3 norm smiths first hand, if that helps?
Well I have and I think you’re selling Leppa way short on his contribution to the club and suggesting that he’s only who he is because of Richmond. Rancie, Grimes etc absolutely love the bloke.

Richmond’s success is a result of the sum of its parts, not this vague “Richmond” thing and to that end Leppa was an important part.

It was Leppa who argued long and hard for one tall and five smalls early in 2017 despite Dimma's insistence we needed two talls.

Injuries helped Leppa's cause and the rest is history.
