HAS TO BE A WORRY THAT A 78 YEAR OLD MAN FACING DEMENTIA IS TO LEAD THE FREE WORLD. WE NEED AMERICA TO BE THERE IN CASE OF ARMED CONFLICT WITH ANYONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, ESPECIALLY CHINA. WOULD HE COME TO OUR AID?

We need to be more realistic about the way the world is changing. The USA was over half the world economy just after WWII. It is now less than a quarter. The USA's support for countries like Australia was always contingent on its own interests and has never been guaranteed.

In any case, the Chinese wouldn't be stupid enough to start an armed conflict with Australia. Too costly and not worth it at all. Not to mention bad for business which is an anathema to the capital accumulators in control in China.

You'd go with Trump the guy who literally abandoned our Peshmurga allies in Syria?

What evidence is there that Biden is facing dementia?
That appears to be a made up statement, which unfortunately is quite prevalent in US politics at present.

No proof of dementia in Biden. But plenty of proof that the soon to be ex-pres of the US is an incontinent, incoherent 74yo who cheats at golf.

Which do you prefer? Or rather, which one is Bolt, Credlin and Jones telling you to prefer?

It doesn't really matter. Biden will surround himself with quality people to make the decisions, not family members and sycophants.

Biden has had a stutter since childhood, it's typical of Trump to demean and ridicule him, he does that to a lot of people. A despicable human being.
I'd be a lot more confident of Biden coming to our aid than I would be of "America First" Trump. Trump is the type that would leave us swinging.

The same could be said for the current president. Do his friends in countries where he can't get the name right like Thighland or Nambia think he would come to their rescue?

Neither are great options but Trump has shown his colours. Just wait and see if he now fires Bill Barr (massive Trump ally) for having the audacity to say there was no fraud in the election. Rudy comes back with "he obviously hasn't seen the evidence", you mean the evidence that everyone has asked to see but Rudy and Trump can't actually stump up with??

Trump is well past his sell by date whether you are a rightie or a leftie

Yeah but it's not about Trump. The cheerleaders have rushed to defend Doddery Joe.

there was no speculation. @graystar1 said Biden was facing dementia. and so far has produced no evidence.

i appreciate it is a difficult time for you trumpophiles as your world view crumbles as it becomes clear he was voted out, and his allies slowly desert him, but making baseless claims about Biden doesnt help anyones cause. in fact if it were true, it wold probably show how desperate the US was to end Trumps presidency that they would still rather vote for Biden. but its seemingly not true so that is irrelevant.

Trump already starting to say he'll run for pres in 2024. This is good, it means he's starting to move the Acceptance Phase of grief. Also bad because the US is so divided now they might just want to re-elect him. Gotta say, I've never seen a nation bend over backwards so much to avoid the reality of one man's ego being so damaged by losing an election - we've had half the country, 90% of the Republican party and half of Fox News pretending he won for a month now.

Fortunately for us his own mental capacity, drug addictions and diaper fetish should rule him out by 2024. The danger will be idiots might vote for Don Jr or Ivanka instead. Pence we can rule out, nobody knows who he is or what he does anyway.

I don't think you understand what the word speculate means.

Nor whether or not speculation is useful

And meanwhile we have a man who is still in denial about about an election loss 1 month after losing and throwing tantrums sitting at a desk from Ikea kids furniture - as opposed to a man quietly and efficiently assembling his cabinet, preparing a COVID19 response and starting to chart a course back into rational foreign policy. While not tweeting in a deranged fashion 10 times a day.

And we are "speculating" about the second man's "mental fitness".
