Thanks for the translation rosy ;D. Sounds more like something you'd buy at the butchers rather than a footy injury.

The Psoas muscle, pronounced with a silent 'P' is as Rosy described. It is fundamentally the main stabiliser of the pelvic region, that runs up from the spine to behind your hip flexor (muscle at the front of the hip region). This also allows one's drive off the subject leg. This is a deep muscle that is a real problem if the damage is major because it is pretty difficult to apply any massage etc. I hope for Hall's sake it is only a minor twinge.

I'd never heard of that before, but by the description it surprises me it's not a more common football injury.
