Welcome to the Tigers - Daniel Rioli

Three time premiership player absolute gem. Him & George coaches dream oppositions nightmare.

I dont think the TV cameras captured how much $hai burned him once?.

Danny was 30m clear from any player, dead centre of the forward 50 arc, 25m out from goal directly in front, sprinting full steam.

and $hai didnt see him and had a ping and missed.

Danny insinuated in the wash up that he found Hub Life very tough.

I suspect he hates Monopoly Deal.

We'll see Danny back at best next year. At 24, he'll be entering his peak.
Yeah that was bad from Shai. Danny was a long way in the clear and all Shai had to do was pop it over to him for a certain goal. Not sure how he didn't see him but he just blazed away. Thankfully the game was done at that stage and we'll forgive Shai for that mistake; he had an amazing season.

yes. It was an elite blazing of Danny, but it happens.

adrenaline narrows the field of vision and distorts time sometimes.

At times over the past couple of years I have been critical of Daniel R's inability to hit the scoreboard in matches (my perception of his role), but after reading 'Stronger & Bolder,' page 21 - 22, it shows I really have no idea! o_O

I now have a better insight into what his main role is. An excerpt... Damien Hardwick states "I still maintain that the very best players in the League are the ones who make those around them look better." Going on to cite that "Rioli is a great example..."

There are a number of other references to his important role, his elite sprinting etc... Impressive!

Three flags in four years says Dimma's got a fair idea of what's going on at footy.

All the experts n whizz bangers crap on about who had how many possessions n who dominated n looked spectacular n how many All Arsetralians play for which side. Yet for four years running we've been down the bottom of all the you beaut spectacular important footy numbers n just keep dancin at the top of the tree. All our players bust their back sides doin the unrewarded unnoticed grunt work to help make their team mates play better, right from the top down to the young beginners.
Dusty, Cotch, Jaaack, Grub, etc etc etc all constantly sacrifice little bits of their game to bring their team mates in to the game and let them shine as well.

It is not all about possession in our game plan but doing the job expected of you by Dimma. Daniel, George and my Nathan are examples of that, no high numbers but always in the best position to break up opposition play or nullify an opponents game. When some of our commentator say they didn't see a particular player in the game, just re-watch the game and see what he did to his assigned oppositions game. Guy's like Dan etc are so invaluable

We have a lot of players that are so important to our game that no-one else talks about. Daniel is certainly one and as you say Broady, but add in guys like Lambert, Bakes even Vlastuin who is also massively undervalued by the industry, Graham, Kmac all these players wouldn't even get into another sides best 22 as picked by either pundits or fans and just regarded as "bottom 6 players" but are far more important than that.

I reckon the industry and opposition fans thought we were having a laugh when you look at last years JDM and take a look at the Top 10, but we as Tigers fans know what all these players bring to the team.

dunno where else to post this slow news day revelation,

But EZJ reckons Mia Fev is stepping out with Jamara Ugle Hagan?

Ralph Carr should have her on the payroll.

Well that's the end of him.

Mia Fevola is now dating Jamarra Ugle-Hagan from the bulldogs.
Unbelievable, thought there was a chance Rioli and her would get back together.
This has really ruined 2021 for me!

But will probably help young Daniel get his head back in the game.
