I'd like to see him take Shorts role if Short isn't fit for the ANZAC game to try and get him more into the game from an offensive perspective and I'd be looking to give him Shorts kick ins. We gave them to Broad yesterday and whilst I love Broady, his kicking is very safe. Vlastuin and Brown taking kick ins, can make us very attacking, move the ball quickly out of our D50 into the corridor. We just need to be sure that we don't smash the guys for being aggressive, its clearly what Ooze is trying to teach them, to attack the corridor and if it doesn't work, don't dwell on the error, move onto the next moment.
Yeah, probably the most disappointing part of yesterday for me, looking at Brown, is that he didnt take any kick ins, not was he ever the person who received the easy short pass from the kick in. We should be looking to get him more involved with easy kicks.

Plus with a licence to be more creative - go central more often instead of wide to the flanks.

I drove that Bus but bygones by bygones, the boy had shown plenty to be excited about.

And shock horror, he had an off day, how dare he have a bad day with less than ten games under his belt.

Perspective people.

Smashed in the midfield was our problem. Defence was under the pump from 2nd quarter on. Hard for anyone in the backline to look even remotely good under that much pressure

You can disagree but mocking is so unbecoming.
Geelong and Hawthorn both wanted Hopper.
What’s your opinion on his recruitment?
Do you love everything the club does?
Sorry but I get annoyed when posters with an opinion get ridiculed.
We all know that it's early days for Brown.
His last couple of games he was rightly lauded but he pretty much invisible on the weekend with just 7 possessions.
His game was disappointing no doubt. Should keep his spot for a few weeks yet regardless & hopefully bounces back against the Dees.

I think we can all see “it” with Brown. Will be ok, obviously needs games. But there’s plenty of others where there’s no “it” to be seen.

Star in the making. What about the lightning flash-in and pick up that saw him get a too high free about two minutes before half-time. Elite speed and handle.

Thought he could have been more involved. At times he was too quick to give a hack kick forward.
And he doesn't have the manic drive to get involved.
I'D want to see him take kick outs, take an attacking position and look to want the ball

I thought he was very good in the 1st half. Didn't really get into it in the 2nd. I enjoyed seeing him receive a lot more and distribute from half back, the role that Shorty vacated.

Spook it was even better than that it happened right in front of me, Brown was 3 on 1 it could have even been 4 on 1 a normal defender would have spoilt straight down into the waiting Dee's hands whereas as Brown lept and did a reverse palm which would have found Rioli if not for drawing a free, it was special.
Another was his centering bullet pass to Nank who stuffed it up with that handball.
He did another sublimely weighted kick between a maze of defenders only for Lefau to go one handed instead of snaffling it.

Oh and that would be screamer

That kick to Lefau around 45 out dead in front was a beauty, not sure if Lefau misread it but he made it look a bit more of a poor kick, but it was an excellent kick to a very dangerous part of the ground.

I remember that 4 on 1 too, just showed how smart he is as a footballer.

I'm really excited watching him blossom. Only 6 games in.

Most of the cubs were in the same boat but given time they should be able to play that level for a whole game. They are just young inexperienced kids right now

I loved the peripheral vision he showed late in the 2nd when he tapped the ball on to Vlastuin and drew free to high contact. Intelligent play which is something that's hard to teach. I'm really excited about this fella.
