Have said it before but Soldos development is huge for the club. Playing now at a level that he could comfortably step into the seniors and compete against most ruckman, but his development and upside is enormous at the rate he is going. Given the fact he had no football background he is clearly capable of learning.

The kid is a huge lump and will be monstering AFL ruckman in 4 or 5 years

I thought he was just about BOG yesterday a LOT to like

CCJ looked more like a ruck-forward yesterday. I must be blind on this Soldo development.

Was struggling big time with the Northern Knights u18s as a Cat B rookie, not having played any football before that.

Now he's dominating VFL football less than 4 years later.

Big tick for the development dept at the club.

Just turned 22 less than 2 weeks ago and is developing very well against inferior opposition in the VFL but can see it happening for him, 2 year later he will be a Beast of a Ruckman that will be hard to move - Still needs to learn how to get more ball around the ground and hurt the opposition

Well said, handy big bloke to have on the list, going to be interesting to see how his career unfolds

Certainly mastered the tap aspect of rucking from what I saw on Sunday.

Good back up.

I still think we should be getting senior games into Moore. Hopefully comes in soon.

It's pretty easy to cast him in the Andrew Browne mould but he's getting better every month. Interesting indeed to see how far he can take that.

Is being developed very nicely, a lot different to Wallace who elavated Andrew Browne at 18 years of age off the rookie list to play round one against Carlton. Talk about lambs to the slaughter.

Ivan Soldo

12 disposals, 30 hit-outs, eight clearances and four rebound-50s

“Ivan Soldo played against (Braydon) Preuss, which was a really good battle. Two of the best ruckmen in the competition, going head-to-head and we thought that Ivan won that battle and he’s looking really big and strong and really looking like an AFL player.”

This kid is flying

Is he playing like an AFL player is the question.

Yep. When he's on.

BTW Nankervis absolutely blooming ATM. And a young ruck by any estimation.

Good times.

Would love to see him get a game at some stage to see how he has progressed and how he looks playing the game at AFL level.

4 years ago didn’t know how to play. 2 years ago showing signs but struggling at vfl level to make an impact.

Now a consistently good vfl player
