His name is Luke Towey,19yo very athletic, and determined to make a career in the AFL.

We’re the front runner,so fingers crossed, not much between,Ross McQuillan & Luke Towey when they tested although McQuillan was the quickest at 2.77sec for 20 metres.

Hope we get Towey, could be a great Cat B rookie pick up.We’re better placed to develop an Irish lad than last time round.

I’m still far from convinced that the time , money and resources put into the Irish an US markets are worth it , personally rather spend more on tapping into the local talent

From the miniscule number of Irish players that have come over to try our game, the success rate has been phenomenal. Because they play a reasonably similar game to Aussie rules it's not that hard to convert the playing ability, the hardest part is convincing the young fellas to stay here n build a completely new life for more than three or four years of glorified paid holiday. Some of our own kids sometimes have a hard enough time with going interstate for more than a few years while the Irish are crossing the world to a foreign country.
Not that sure about pushing hard to get the Septics to play our game as they don't really have anything similar to build from n big Autumn leaves is still riding high on the one game where he was spoon fed by a dominant mid field and the fact he's about three metres tall.

At this point I think we’ve signed 2 Irish players and only Orielly played 4 games for us, not a great return when we’ve had people go to Ireland every year for about the past 15. I’d rather the money go into identifying talent at an early age in our zones

True, but that might be because we've been doing it slightly wrong. There's some ripping talent comes from there, Stynes, White, Kenelly, Handley, Touhey, McKenna. The biggest problem is getting them to stay here n make a career.

277 is blistering. but 282 is super brisk too. Sounds like he has the athletic tools to make it so hope he chooses us.

But generally I,m in agreement with CC. The higher returns are in blokes who grew up with footy.
The most likely success with the irish is a speedy outside back flanker - mckenna kennelly clarke touhey.
I would be looking for the next Lambert or Kelly

Phantom was MVP for his amazing efforts.
He DID get ushered into meetings.
I miss the man.

Fortunately they didn't listen to him or we would have had Cale Morton instean of Trent Cotchin and traded a young Matthew Richardson who Phanton had as obsessive hate for.

Jack White coming back from Duke. Clubs nibbling.

No one is sure how the cat b rookie will work in the new footy world.

Jack White is a great player
According to rolling stone one of the top 100 players of all time
he could certainly destroy the blues with his bare hands.
would be good to get him out of the white stripes and into the yellow sash.

Ross Mcquillan has quit Essendon to return to Ireland. The Irish experiment continues to fail.

Irishman Anthony Tohill has quit Collingwood to return to Ireland. The Irish experiment (that's been going for nearly 40 years now) continues to underwhelm.
