Champion data have a stat for everything, Where’s the one of most goals conceded in the fkn goal square.
2 weeks in a row we have goals kicked with a 1000 defenders in the goal square.

Cats have North, Lions (away) and Cartoon. None of these are gimmes in their current form.

Think they will beat North at home but gee if they lose all 3 they could easily miss the top 4. Amazing turnaround.

Don't stress zips, there's an even more important stat. Over the last 6 weeks no opponent has been able to score more than 70 points and enough to win the game. Not much to complain about lately with our backline unless you want to nitpick.

I disagree with some. I thought overall we demolished Dees. Third quarter was as dominant as you'll see. 70 inside 50s to 37. 28 scoring shots to 15. Difference was Dees couldn't miss a shot at goal and we kept missing. Another game where the end score didn't really reflect the dominance.

The loss we had to have.

As everyone else was saying where they were watching, I was in the Southern Stand, level 2, above the city end 50, between Tooheys and Mr B, in a row of PREs also including B jr, ToO jr and Mrs ToO, caesar and Taz.

Thanks to ToO for the ticket, Mr B for running me down through the crowd like I was the love of his life at an airport, and all for a good arvo and evening at the footy. Those patron cushions in the Jack Dyer stand really take the edge off!

Good to meet Ridley before the game and put another face to a name.

Likewise Spook. Will hopefully catch up with the PRE crew for a few beers at some stage in the not too distant future.

I agree, it was never really in doubt. No point in firing all your bullets against an already dead target.

Thanks for nuthin Sydney you wankers

Yeah they had their chances in the last. Four looks from inside 30 out in the last for a return of 0.2. Heeney 2 points, Rose a missed chest mark and then kicks into the man on mark (funnily enough I like him as a player). Umps diabolical though. Too scared to pay a regulation 50 after a late bump on a Menzel mark at 50 and then the non mark/free to Reid 15 out with 20 seconds to go.

Our defenders kicked it directly to Gawn up the wing, over and over

No opponent near Gawn either.

Just an example of some uncharacteristically dumb footy last night.
There were opponents there ghost. They just got outbodied or misread the flight. Why we need Nank back in pronto.

Grimes was on TV just now, gave credit to Melbourne who matched us in KPI’s to half time.

Won every quarter, solid enough performance without getting into top gear.

We always react to poor kicking but I for one can take good kicking for granted. But it is a great skill and we should highlight it when warranted....so to Lynch, Rioli, Graham and Martin your 50 m conversions were superb. Distance angle and wet ball for the last three could all have been excuses for a shot falling short or drifting off target.
And whilst on kicking Dustys pass from just inside the Defensive edge of the square that landed in Jacks lap inside F50 was sublime. A great kick worth a few pressure acts in my book.
