The March to September - 2019

A five goal win today draws us level with West Coast on wins AND percentage.

I watched the Brisbane V cats closely yesterday,

and didnt see a premiership contender.

I saw, what in a normal season, would be two sides fighting for 5th and 6th.

I am expecting to see The heavy weight bout today.

barring injury, the two best credentialed sides in the competition by quite a margin.

and I think these two are only separated by a bit of luck.
That's what I've been saying. There are only two top 4 sides in it this year, and 10 bottom half of the 8 sides.

Its weird. Every way I do the ladder predictor, us winning the next 2 or losing the next 2 or 1 and 1, I come up with a Richmond V West Coast GF.
Everytime I do it I get Richmond winning the next 3 flags.

PREnders, here is my consolation for a possible loss today.

Regardless of what happens this afternoon, we beat Brisbane by more than six goals next week. Absolutely no doubt about it.

Which means 3rd place and we’d be headin interstate to play them again in the QF.

That’s a probable win, but not at all guaranteed. With a PF against West Coast two weeks later if we lose.

The alternative is Essendon in an EF, which is as good as a training run. Then we would play through Collingwood and Geelong at the G enroute to WC in the GF.

Both paths aren’t so bad!

What we absolutely can’t afford is losing to Brisbane in a QF.

Looking at the ladder, a draw may have suited both the WCE and us. It would have kept us away from each other in the finals

A win will see us top four, if Colon-wood lose we can afford to lose. But we just need to win.

Looks like QF1 at the G v Pricky's Cats is a definite.

The top 4 will all finish 16-6 next week. Brisbane v WC at the Gabba in QF2.

I’m confident we will serve Brisbane the reality check which has eluded them for most of this season.

I'll say it again ... Richmond can win this year's flag from any position in the eight.
Reckon there is a burning desire in this team and today's effort and win against the Eagles showed their level of commitment to the cause.

Absolutely mate, well said. The playing group are well aware that last year was a huge lost opportunity.
That will drive them to beat anyone, anywhere!
