Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Fabulous mark. Very courageous, without doubt.
Interesting to look at the footage of that mark and the few moments following. I might be reading too much into it, but it seems that Coleman-Jones is not all that pleased with what took place. Believes he had the mark covered and Pickett's intervention maybe could have caused some collateral damage.
Anyway, Pickett went back and slotted the goal.
Mediocre first half but really started to step up in the second half. One of the better players at the end of the game,
I noticed that as well & on replay looks like he had it but Pickett ended up with it. to show that courage to back with the flight knowing the hit was coming the Coaches will be showing that in the review.

Poor overall 1st 3 x quarters but 95% of the team was in the same boat.

Rose to the top in the clinches for a great last quarter.

We were 32 points down when he took that mark late in the third quarter. It was real team lifter, and a follow me to his teammates.

He was poor in the first quarter, good in the second, great in the third and fantastic in the last.

Oozes class, feels like he'll be better surrounded by better players.

I thought his first half was terrible. Had 7 disposals and they were all over the place. Really picked it up in the 2nd half. Just not sure whether he has the sufficient work rate at AFL level yet. Some saying he should be selected for 1st final on the back of that game but I think that is a very risky proposition. Too late. Look to next year now.

Agree - unless there was an unexpected injury or two - and hopefully that ain’t gonna happen.
A handy backup just in case

When players who can really play are surrounded by players who can really play, they usually show pretty quickly they can really play. Every time we see him we see a little bit more. Building confidence, fitness. Just get the feeling he is gonna turn it on next year. Must be very motivated at 27.

Can’t see why he couldn’t play the Short role.
In honesty he won’t be playing this year but next year he needs to eye off that spot.

Watching the VFL I reckon he's struggled when played back. He's shone when played in the middle and up the ground. So I'm not sure he is an obvious replacement for Short. He'd have to improve a lot at VFL level to convince me that's his spot.
