Agree TOO. If Dusty has one kryptonite it’s the hard tag. Yes we have the luxury of pushing him forward but for us to win Friday night we need him in peak performance in the guts.
I would hope that the team is well drilled enough to make life extremely difficult for anyone whose sole job is to just sit on Dusty. It shouldn’t just be left to happen, with the only reaction being to hide him forward, as damaging as he can be down there.

Totally. If someone does a hard tag on Dusty everyone else needs to make the tagger's life a misery. Bump him, niggle, step on his toes, just make life hell.

I think the club already has the perfect response to a Dusty hard tag. Send him up to full forward and move everyone out.

Geelol normally park the bus though. They play scared conservative footy generally.

This is surely the answer - Dusty parked in Row A, big sticks, Guthrie gives away any free kicks and it's an instant goal to Richmond. Love it.

Loved that piece. Favovourite line was:

And he has submitted himself to the team. In a side that plays an unusual brand of football – a brand that requires 100% buy-in from all 22 players to succeed – he fits in perfectly. The entire side isn’t constructed around him the way Wayne Carey’s North Melbourne was. Instead, he complements it. He’s their exclamation mark.

Great way to describe Dusty, he's our exclamation mark.

The stage is set waiting for its Star to shine.

If Dusty decides to impose himself fully we are a big chance at redemption.

Something tells me he's been waiting for this time since 2018.

Dangerfield v Martin. Two sublime talents separated by two points. One can't kick very well, the other can. And one has become an ultimate team player. The other... not so much.

Therein lies the major difference. Players like Dangermouse n the little nude nut pretty much demand the ball of their team mates so that they can be the super stars n carry the rest to victory.
Dusty on the other hand brings his team mates into the game n helps them to play better, ensuring all the team is carrying some of the load.

So true.
One plays with chest puffed out, looking for frees like his captain & coach who is me, me, me.
One who has a couple of segments on radio.

The other ultimate team mate who sometimes should be shellfish and me, me,me. Who keeps out of the limelight a little less BUT doesn’t mind the Bonds commercials .

In saying that I wouldn’t mind him in my side. He is a bloody good player, not Friday night though!

Who will exert themselves when they go forward.

Dangerman or Dusty Dusty Dusty?

Another difference between Dusty and Danger is the culture they developed in.

Swap clubs and they’d be very different people today.

True, an Adelaide x Geelong mongrel isn't anything people would line up for

Toohey or Stewart may pick him up if he goes forward. Probably with the same result.
I doubt Dusty will be fazed with whoever they throw at him

Cam guthrie was buying a kebab in front of me the other day. He is strikingly slender through the hips and his arse is like Kate Moss's.

Dusty will monster him.
