Brandon Ellis

Endorse all the comments on his game. I wanted him out after a very poor effort in the Brisbane final. He proved me wrong and put in a strong performance against the Moggies. Well done, Brando, proved me wrong. But must put you in two minds if wanting to preserve yourself for rich new contract deal. But I think he will put in a good one now in the GF.

The two-time premiership player gets to see out his career on good coin. Good luck to him, although I am sure he will miss his Tiger mates.

I still reckon he will stay. If he is offered 3 years and some reasonable coin at tigers it would be a far happier 3 years with his mates than moving up to the suns and cashing in.

Brando fan here - but realistically I suspect he will struggle to maintain a top 22 spot for that period at RFC and could well drop out of that during next year.
But he surely would remain top 22 at GC and with a 5 yr contract he’d even have a realistic chance of becoming a 300 AFL game player.

That said - the most important thing is that he firstly becomes a 2 time premiership player

Go out on the highest note possible Bobble, play a ripper and get Dual Premiership Player status, becoming a RFC icon in history as a result and then go enjoy the sun and count your well earned cash super.

Eat em Alive one last time.

Thought PRE posters would like to read this article about Brandon's move to Gold Coast next season.

It’s really not surprising that Brando is chasing financial security from where he has come from.
Good luck to him and hopefully he leaves as a dual premiership player

While never one of my favourite players, all respect to Ellis and much luck to him in his venture to GCS.
Will be attending GCS pre-season with his second premiership medal swinging around his neck.

This is his big chance to set himself up for life and help out his family. Totally understandable if he does go for the big dollars.

Should play a blinder tomorrow knowing this could be his last chance at a flag, or even in a final.

It's amazing in this day and age how such matters as transfers/contracts can be talked about on grand final eve.
It wasn't that long ago where such things simply would not have been considered, contemplated or tolerated.
Says a lot about how the machinations of football have changed.
It also speaks volumes for how RFC conducts itself and feels sufficiently assured for one of its players to speak to the media about such things.

I'm guaranteed guessing he's gone too...95% sure, i think, but stranger things have happened. and would say serious and final conversations without distractions will resume mid next week.

If he does go then good luck to him as an AFL career is fairly short and if GC give him the money then it is a good move. Besides on todays match performance we have a ready made replacement in Pickett
