Another interesting article about how RFC snared Marlion to the Yellow and Black
Others could have plucked Pickett, but Tigers 'backed themselves in'
It was only one game, albeit a sparkling grand final debut, but it was a reminder that a long line of AFL clubs had overlooked Marlion Pickett for years.www.theage.com.au
Pickett said on 6PR post match interview he will keep no. 50. Good on him.
Wonderful piece. Brought a big smile.
I’m sure like myself but I can’t get enough of the story.
Didn’t David Honeybun wear 52?.
25 at South Freo and 50 here.
There's a nice arithmetic about those numbers.
He's not interested of fazed about climbing the numbers ladder.
Glad to see he is keeping his 50.
Reminds me more of McLeod than Maurice.
I heard he signed on for 2020 as a Rookie???
Watched the GF at home with my neighbour, when Fish did that blind turn our roar must've just about lifted the roof. We high fived each other while laughing our heads off. That blind turn.... I will never forget that for the rest of my days. It was a thing of beauty.
Its out there TMan. I saw it on one of the "non-afl" channel news programs. Must have taken their feed from someone other than Ch7. Dusty, facing the goal, turns his head to the left and does a "how you doin" chin raise and then sends the ball off one step.I was a bit disappointed that he didn't sit Mummy

And then there was his goal, Fish said that he saw Dusty give him a nod after he had laced Dusty out. And wasn't it a pin point pass from Dusty, I'd love to see footage of that nod, if there is any.
It was a bizarre comment from Sheedy ie that picking a debutant infers that you’ve got the game won.Wonder what that dweed Sheedy thinks of his selection now?
