Draft prospects 2019

Same here.

It's a bit like Christmas where the imagined promise of the opened gift is almost always greater than its 1 year utility.

I love it!!!
The problem I have is that when I hear about all the players I want us to draft about 15 of them :D :D

Its sounding like Cooper Stephens is most likely first rounder?

I'd be stoked. Another big inside mid with a tank and character to add to the collection?

after a couple of years of 1st round X factor, wise to grab another solid citizen I reckon.
My biggest fear right now is he gets snapped up before our pick.

I think he could easily, but I don't fear it.

we'll have a list of 10 rippers will be on the board and be better than everyone elses

we are invincible

Just read that and realised that we will have 3 x live picks in a row (38/39/40) as GWS will lose their pick in between to match a Green bid.

Of course those picks will drop a few due to matched McGuiness/Henry/Green bids but handy nonetheless.

The only club i see taking him prior to Richmond's pick is geelong with #17 if they hold that pick and not trade it. But that just means another player we will love coming to tigerland

And because we don't have major list gaps, then whatever kid we pick will suit.
Cooper Stevens - great to add another mid
Worrell - key tall to replace Dave / Alex in time
Blanco- replace Houli in 2 years
etc

The beauty of it all is that after winning premierships we have not neglected the draft
2017
Higgins , Balta , Coleman-Jones , Naish , Baker
2018
RCD , Ross , Turner , English , Stack , Pickett
2019
#19 - #38 - #39 - #41 - #56 + 1 Rookie Selection

Thats 18 new young players since winning the 2017 premiership as well as adding Tom Lynch

The difference with us & Hawthorn is they traded picks to top up & loaded up on free agents etc, they are now mid table so let's see how our plan works out for us going fwd.

Its all going to come down to our late selections and how we go with selecting regular players with these selections

We have a chance to fill some needs this draft and hopefully the kids we select end up being what we need in 3 years time

3 x Mids
1 x KPD
1 x KPF

would be what we are looking for but that could change depending on who is available and who slides

We will end up with a great slider at 19 but its our 2nd rounders who I'm more interested in.

Is a slider really a slider or is it just someone being picked later than the amateur mock drafters predicted?
