Well, lets just say that the WHO doesn't have the ability to get the buy in needed for your stated Nirvana. The one time this decade they needed cooperation from countries to buy, in look at what happened.
The WHO has shown that "it" has not got the pulling power to do what you suggest it wants, so why keep funding it?
BTW China dont give a *smile* about what you want them to do do mate. Never have never will.
Funding should be able to be directed towards what the funding is supported by, its a voluntary contribution that has failed in a big way. Waste of cash.
Over the decades there are plenty of people in many countries who have benefited from the programs run by the WHO.
Regular diseases such dysentary and malaria, plus the pandemics such as Ebola.
Waste of cash that has kept people alive

Correct, people say Aussies are racist, and whilst there are some elements, we are complete saints compared to the US.

When there are areas in US cities when as tourists you are told not to venture either after dark or at all if you are white, then that goes to show that. Imagine that in Australia, a white person cannot go into Springvale for Yum Cha etc as its too dangerous. Its unheard of here.

It is currently but gradually attitudes are hardening & cultures dividing. Australia isn't as united as it was.

Nice reply L2. Yes the ant did infer anarchy, on both fronts.

Explain how.

I explicitly said we must have trials ffs. I get your opinions are closer to Lee's but don't throw all logic and rationality out the window.

To be fair, you might have inferred it, we can't know. But you didn't imply it.

You excused the rioting while implying cops in general are worse than the criminals. It's not a valid perspective.

Show me where I excused rioting.

Stating that police have killed citizens implied nothing about rioters or anything else - and I explicitly said that police who commit crimes need to be tried.

Any "implication" of anarchy is in your own head.

Ant, narrow minded right wingers always have a lot of trouble distinguishing explanation from excusing.

What they don't understand is that seeking to explain why things are the way they are is not the same as excusing certain actions. It is a bit like the deliberate ignorance on climate change.

The reality is that black Americans have tried for decades to get some semblance of equal treatment in the USA. They tried non-violence in the civil rights movement, yet still are killed by police at a much higher rate than whites (there are 4 times as many whites in the USA as blacks so raw numbers are just an excuse). They got the civil rights act but still face everyday discrimination, just look at what happened to that black CNN reporter and the comparison with his white colleague. They got the voting rights act, yet states have undermined their voting rights very deliberately ever since. They protest non-violently and get ignored or vilified for some manufactured slight.

Just what response do you expect?

Martin Luther King was right: A riot is the language of the unheard.

I would go further - the legal system is supposed to be a neutral umpire, but a neutral umpire in a system which is already rigged will just perpetuate the advantage of those who are the beneficiaries of the rigging. To be neutral in a biased system is to perpetuate the bias.

You can't explain it. These people are behaving like animals.

You steal and burn my *smile* and I'll urge the coppers to shoot you.

A criminal is a criminal, no matter the colour of its skin.

Don't play Mr. Naiveté. It's unbecoming.
Maybe the agitated can be placated by executing the cop without trial? Who needs laws and courts when the mob speaks loudest?
Cops have been executing people without trial for decades in the US, but no, we still need an trial.
You implicitly excused lawlessness by scoffing at the concept of legal trial, on the grounds that police in general are murderers. It was a bad post.

A proportionate response tends to work better.

I agree that even criminals have the right not to die in the act of being arrested. Generally speaking.

Was it established whether George was in fact passing counterfeit notes? A serious although non-violent offence, and not one he deserved to die over. Just asking whether he put himself in a position for something bad to happen.

Did Dusty stab a woman with chopsticks? Did VicPol have a right to put the knee to his neck outside Mr Miyagi’s?

This is quite incoherent.
You clearly have no idea what the WHO does around the world.
