Really? Send them straight back or to Christmas Island. At a minimum when they get permission to fly to Aus, make them sign a form that states they agree to being tested for COVID on their arrival and that refusal to do so will have them sent to Christmas Island.

Probably antivaxers

30% of OS returning Travellers in VIC refusing to be tested for COVID?

that seems reasonable too me,

But I'd also think it would be reasonable to go

'no worries, you can stay in the Mariott botting ciggies off soldiers for the next 2 months'

I understand its a kind of microbiological version of 'if you dont love it, leave'

but *smile* civil rights. I want to go to the footy.
I wonder how many of them are the 2.3 million people in Australia on a temporary visa.

None.

"Only Australian citizens and returning permanent residents and their immediate family members are permitted to enter Australia without an exemption until further notice."

Small numbers of visitors might be here on compassionate exemptions.

Must be the permanent residents and their families then.

If any true blues refused, I bet it's because the players took the knee before the first bounce.

I bet they are just trying to rush out of quarantine so they can destroy statues.

I have a problem with Australian permanent residents who don't get citizenship, and choose to spend a lot of time living overseas. A lot of then come back to Australia when COVID-19 occurred.

What about the Australian Citizens who do the same thing? Should we have problems with them too?

It's your carer and family that have you doing what you are doing, others that I know don't have the same motive.

I wish the government would make it their problem too. It bothers me because a lot of them have received permanent residency in very shady and shonky circumstances.

Yep, that's corruption. We need an ICAC.

Nothing to do with Corona and testing though. Everyone who comes back should be tested, citizens or residents alike.

Good. Time to start getting tough with those not doing the right thing.
I dont get how it wasnt compulsory. Shocked.
Its building a security fence and not locking the gate.
Fly into Australia. Quarantine. Test. Go into the wider community.

Unless there is a hyper valid reason - and "i dont feel sick" is defo not acceptable.
