Changes V GC

I reckon I looked at injury list only 2 days ago and it had exactly the same and said updated 2 August, also Jack on Wednesday said Nank might be right for Essendon game so that is not the medium term as showing on website.
You’re not saying we're making *smile* up are ya.....? I thought that was strictly Tom Morris, Tom Browne et el territory;)

The accuracy and relevance of information from the AFL site has deteriorated considerably this year, and that's working off a pretty low base they had in 2019.

As an example, late changes to team line-ups are almost non-existent or too late. Could be caused by staffing problems due to the covid virus cut-backs.

Hope we haven’t trained too much this week.
Geelong done no training, just rehab and destroyed Port despite having less days to recover

Port flew the day of the game same as we did ......................and they didnt have their feral hordes to cheer them

Not many teams have done much training by sounds of it.

Zorko said today trhey werent training just a light captains run and then playing

All teams fly in on the day of the game. This is what those numnut port supporters couldn't fathom when tiges supporters were saying we had 4 day break and traveling to Adelaide plus 6 top 18 players out. All they were saying is excuses and being salty, lol the truth hurts.

Now Port had 6 days break and looked flat as a tack.

When we named our 6 out, Nank Cotchin, Prestia, Edwards, Astbury, and Houli. That's our starting midfield bar dusty. And 2 top defenders.

They then trotted out in their minds equal quality. Ebert and Rozee fair enough but not in their starting midfield, Then these 3 names. Motlop LOL, Mayes LOL, Burton LOL

Seriously these fools are delusional. If we play these nutters again in finals with our full squad we will annihilate them.

.frightening performance by cats on port...what can we take from it?
.they are quality, strong & athletically big...have to be flag favs then eagles
.we cannot possibly match either in size but can still have an edge in pace with a ZERO tolerance policy in selection
.no passengers in that department means no caddy, graham(suss shldrs anyway), rioli, eggy, higgins or ross...NO EXCEPTIONS or the plan is compromised.

.cotchin for caddy...muscled up slowed down
.houli for eggy...not ready, awareness suspect
.markov for rioli ..just stop picking on expired reputation.. unhealthy for club..richo love child...9cm 6kg more versatile
.rcd for hard bodied? ross...faster stronger

.I still can't believe our complete disregard & delisting of tall, elite kicking running machines callum moore & menadue last year ...butler I could understand given george, bolton, rioli, arts ,stack, higgins, lambert & prestia...but the other two just does my head in...another year in the gym they would have been prime mandingo.
.I know I harp on about markov but his 37.5 km/h top speed recorded in league 2019 was one k/h faster than 2nd place johanisen, a full 2 k/h / faster than any one else (rohan, cameron, franklin etc), kicking has penetration & enjoys the contest, body has hardened ...
.smell the roses tiges..our ace is still the list depth of pace (& quality)....
.disposals are not the measure of performance....continual pressure applied by ALL thru out is.

.we know what will happen...houli for egg, cotch for ross, maybe tired graham if caddy suss...courage up selectors...its not about dreamtime or yesteryear
.embrace the pace!

i agree with a lot of your post.
Cotchin for Caddy, Houli for Egg are no-brainers.
Caddy on the wing last year was an upgrade on an out-of-form McIntosh, but now Kaos Kamdyn is back.
And given his interupted prep, Caddy is now the one out-of-touch and looking like a fish out of water on the wing this year.
Personally, i would not have Caddy in our best 22, and would have him back training with the forwards as back-up for Jack if he gets injured.
Markov for Rioli could work but I'd go Markov for Caddy on the wing, and better utilise Markov's blistering pace.
Rioli showed improvement last week and got more of it hence should be retained; however still needs to be kept on a short leash by coaches and strongly instructed to play on with more instinct, rather than the counter-productive Stop, Prop and Skyscraper Kicks To Disadvantage that he has trademarked.
As i have previously stated, i dont think RCD is ready and would prefer Graham, then Ross in the midfield.
The comp is so tight between 1 and 13 that we must strive to win every game and Top 4 rather than trialling first gamers.
Naish v GWS was a similar Chance Your Arm selection, and we basically played a man down which was very costly.

Im not a believer ankles.

I said after Port beat us, before I knew the draw,

that whoever they play next will win. I think GC or Sydney would have beaten Port Friday night.

they put 80 minutes of grand final intensity in to best Richmond, and they were physically and emotionally spent.

made Cats look way better than they are.

Our Big Tom will be in Tomahawk form at business time.

Agree. I'm loving the hype actually. Scott is now Bill Belicheck. Their style unbeatable. Harry Taylor in a renaissance.

They are still the same cats they've always been the last few years. Miers is a fraud. Ruck is still an issue for them. Dangerfield hit 3 field targets which is unheard of.

The one player who does appear a little different is Rohan. A difficult matchup but we have Grimes/Broad that shape well for him.

Please let us play them in a final.

100% agree.

Rohan is in form and a tough match up.

but he will do a hammy pretty soon.

Yeh, I've always thought he was overrated, probably been stiff with the injuries. Good in the air, fast and agile and a nice kick. And has a surprising aggressive streak. But he appears so tightly wound he's one misstep away from that ping.
