The loss of Lynch hurt us. The Lions paid little respect to Chol by having Andrews as the spare to help out Lester on Riewoldt.
Lynch plays and they no longer have that luxury.
Lynch was only a 98% ready. We pulled the trigger Monday. Why ?

No sleep me too....and I rarely don't sleep well...hot too plus the loss....much prefer hitting the sack after a win.
Good analogy with 2018 ... And the QF v Hawks we sleep walked through (hard to believe Hawks were 4th only 2seasons ago...genuine over achievers that year) and were rudely awoken 1stQ in PF.
Our coaching staff may be many things. But arrogance is not one of them.

Maybe not arrogant, but definitely not smart to make the call so early. We gave the Lions the whole week to prepare for a game against us without Lynch.
The much smarter move would have been to name him, say all week he was playing and then make the late change. I know we don't do the late change very often but when it's centred around a big star key forward it has to affect the opposition plans.
Nah, it reeks to me of a coaching staff factoring the second chance. If this was an elimination final, they'd have thrown caution to the wind and Lynch would have played and Prestia wouldn't. We earned that second chance and selected accordingly.
In the cold light of the next day and no sleep, I find myself pondering why we didn’t swing dtld to 15 out of the square to make Harris accountable for someone who can seriously read the flight of a long bomb and high likelihood of a mark
To me the obvious move was to push Balta into the ruck/forward role for the last quarter. Would’ve benched Chol & made do up back. We had to win the game. Way too many passengers last night though.
Not even close to the worst, take a day to get over this game and you'll be able to think rationally again hopefully.
WE have won some 7 in a row,outstanding considering OUR INJURIES AND AWAY GAMES, ONLY GOT 8 FREES ALL NIGHT, GOT SOME PLAYERS WHO WILL BENIFIT FROM EXTRA GAME ,EDWARDS,PRESTIA,ASBURY, AND IT CHANGED OUR GAME PLAN BIG TIME,RUNNING INTO OUR FORWARD LINE MISSING LYNCH WAS HUGE ,IT ALLOWED BRISBANES DEFENCE TO GET ON TOP AND CHANGED OUR CRUMBING GAME AS WELL, WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO ADJUST WITH PLAYERS BETTER THAN OTHER CLUBS, lynch back is huge, if fit caddy or ross as well, also would consider broad back so balta can play some ruck, these few changes makes us very different and still brisbane had everything go right for them TO WIN BY 2 1/2 GOALS, WE STILL CAN WIN THE FLAG, HAS BEEN DONE .
whilst I agree with all that, the capitals and short sentences are not easy on the eyes!
