The argument about the QF winning team having a disadvantage in the prelims is exactly the same as the situation from 1931-1992.. The top team or second that has week one off wins week two and goes straight thought to Gf after another week off. For most of the 60 years that was the preferred path to,a flag.

Maybe it was the weather difference but that game seemed way less intense than last night.

The way to beat Geelong is be in their faces all the time and don’t let them play. Brisbane didn’t do that.

Reckon this is good for us. All the commentary this week will be around Geelong and doing it for Stagerfield and Ablett. We will be under the radar and come out and smash them. The heat will be unrecognisable to them in comparison to their last 2 games. Easy kills are not generally the best preparation for a GF.

Not underestimating them but I think if we play near our best and bring the heat we’ll win. I thought the Port game was the hardest for us and if we got through that we’d win the GF.

That is certainly true now, but hasn't always been magnaminous or charitable.

Lambert would slow play and cause congestion. And we weren't prepared to pay him what he wanted.
Maxfield wanted something like 220k and we wouldn't budge over180k.

Scott has definitely mellowed. He used to be shocking prior to this year. I have a theory. His family are very competitive so he and his brother always fought to be the biggest d!ckhead coach in the league. No brother any more. Competition is dead.

Yeah not sure he’s any of those things when they lose. Pretty easy to be all chipper and genial when you win. I still remember his press conferences in the 2017 finals when he refused to give any credit to Richmond; could barely say the word. And then after the GF on AFL360 he basically *smile* canned the game and us and said that no one wants to see that style of game.
