people selling Markov short on here. had many injury issues throughout the years. he was emergency and last player dropped in our 2017 and 2020 flags.
Wasn't Chol the last dropped in 2020?

so explain me this....
.tigers 4 year domination built on depth of sustained pressure, hardness & pace across the board....(& some talent :) )
.bachar 33 next may with suss old man calves, jack 32 now can't catch his shadow, daniel's foot specialist says never the same again., caddy treacle, naish, eggy & stack...all a worry.

.oleg cements a spot, amongst others we demolish dogs, west coast, freo, geelong ...half back quarter backs never looked as potent...then dumped for the finals.
.how could we not attempt to retain?....brilliant clubman, electric speed, agile a.f. hard, excellent penetrating kick...
.sort of the exact weapon required each end of the ground these days...their ground/player covering capabilities instills confidence in team mates to play on instinct

.do we still not understand the concept of role players?...the number of times i read here people crying for george to be sacked over no. of disposals does my head in....when macca & bolton were dropped i was in disbelief.

.i luvu richmond... the pleasure ive received im in severe debt...but this totally escapes me.

We've got Houli (one more year), Broad, Short, Baker, Vlas all playing halfback roles at times. I imagine the conversation was "we'd love to keep you but can't guarantee regular senior games in 2021". So he's elected to go rather than wait another year. A good organisation never stands in the way of someone who can get better opportunities elsewhere.

So he becomes another developed/ing player that we let go ala Butler, for nix mind you. I know that we cant keep everyone on the list that we would want to, but.

confirmed traded to GC for a future 3rd rounder

Future 3rd is probably expected. Glad its a future and not this year. With the expectation that a lower number of draftees will be taken this year, there could be some gems falling into that area in the draft next year.

Bit disappointed as GC will likely reap the rewards of our development, but its not the end of the world. Would have loved to have kept him but after 3 premierships in 4 years you cant possibly keep them all.

No point complaining about keeping Naish, Stack and co over him given they are all contracted for next year whereas he was not.

All the best Oleg.

A third rounder? So if GCS finish for eg 16th that's around pick 40? (Plus whatever that ends up getting pushed out to, so 45ish)

I feel like this is unders. A future 2nd round pick seemed more appropriate in my mind. Gold Coast again benefitting from our generosity.

All the best Oleg, hope you can become a regular at the suns and carve out a good (but not great!) career.

Happy to see the tigers find him another home. Best club in the land.

I think we are winning on that front!
yeah we got Tommy Caddy and Dion.

We'd given them Corey Ellis, and Miles (who was obsolete within 12 months as the game evolved away from him).

Bobble they have done well with and Markov should give them something offf HB or on a Wing to release Anderson into the middle.

I think 3rd round draft pick sells Oleg well short. He is an obvious 2nd round draft pick which AFL stops GC trading. Seriously how does the AFL conspire to shaft us?

Can’t see I am overly happy with that trade.

But we are not in the business of blocking players in getting to their club of choice.

Look at it the other way around. How happy would we be if we traded a 2nd rounder for a mature age player who had played bugger all in 5 seasons.

If Suns finish outside the 8 again it could be a pick anywhere from late 30's to mid 40's pick. That's fine for Oleg
