Hardwick

Jai *smile* Bednall, like a maggot to garbage. Exhibit A for the case that some in the media hate us.

See if you can find a Jai article concerning Richmond that isn't putting sh!t on the club or players. I'm joking, don't waste your time looking.
Must be said he's a VERY minor player, but off the top of my head this bloke is the biggest waste of oxygen in the football industry (if you can classify him as part of the industry). Worse than Parrot or any other journo, worse than Chris Scott or any other coach... A walking case for retrospective abortion.

I’ve tried to make a complaint about him to the head of news.com but not surprisingly they don’t have email addresses

Would it change your thinking if I said that my belief now is that this situation has been known about internally at Richmond since last pre-season?

Of course it was, how do you keep that sort of thing secret in a hub? Didn't affect us one iota last season.

Can we please move on from the New/No Idea takes on this now.

Anyone that thinks this will not cause any issues with the playing group and culture is kidding himself/herself. Truth is if this was any other club we would be all over it saying this is the end of them. This whole clubs resurrection was built around Honesty, Trust and Family. Now the key figure to this turn around has gone and done the exact opposite of what he has been preaching to the players for the last 5 years! How does he look a player in the eye now and tell him to respect and ingrain those values? These values are vital to players like Cotchin and JR to name a few.

All we need are a few losses on the trot and this whole thing unravels.

The constant media beatup atm is also creating a lot of unwanted attention which is only going to fuel this thing.

Was good while it lasted. Funny how the hub allowed us to win the Premiership but might also be the reason it destroyed the legacy!
How will it destroy our legacy? Are they going to take our 3 premierships off us?

Geez, i remember back in a good old days at my football club.
We just went around flicking each other with towels and sticking our fingers up each others bums.

Suddenly women walk into a club it goes to crap.
Is that you Mabs?

This was also intimated on Sam Newman’s podcast. The producer Rod saw them together back in May, also verified by Mike Sheahan.

I have been blissfully ignoring all news reports, social media and I haven’t read through this thread.
All I can say is that I hope all parties involved can find happiness going forward and the relationships between the kids and parents remain strong.

We celebrate people's imperfections.

That is what we do.

All the other stuff is just bylines.

Not sure that cheating on your wife and betraying her and his kids is an imperfection.

Well it wasn’t mrs H was parachuted Into the hub mid season to confront dimma , meanwhile , the Tigers went on to Win the flag. , hate to tell the haters that

Well what is it then
Kind of like running red lights, each one was a warning not to run the next one. He was selfish, arrogant, stupid and mostly betrayed those he claimed to love. In short he is a *smile* of a bloke.
is still one hell of a footy coach though

You are assuming:
a) the Hardwicks were still together at the beginning of the year.
b) Damien Hardwick got into the relationship before they were separated.

I assume that all of this is none of my business.

I find it really odd Damien was wearing his wedding ring during the lead up to and during the Grand Final given his new partner had already quarantined via Darwin and was apparently on the Gold Coast already.
