I'm quite sure I didn't act like this when the Liberals won the last election.

Lefties make the worst losers and the worst winners. It's quite a feat.

It’s difficult to know what’s worse at rimes - the nutbag religious right winger or self righteous prescriptive leftie.

The snide remarks, backhanders, personal potshots, political posturing and general crap behaviour towards others is making it very difficult to remain a PREnder. It seems to have infiltrated every thread as well, making it practically impossible to avoid.

The old adage “If you’ve got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all” needs to be remembered I think.

NSW has a worrying case, just the one but he was in isolation for the 14 days, then was out and about and developed symptoms.
It is either a late onset of symptoms after the initial exposure
Or there are other infected people and its community transmission. Concerning.

This is still bubbling along in sydney and could blow up again

And with a potential Queensland flare up we could have outbreaks on multiple fronts.
That is a threatening situation

As you have too. You've been constantly spreading info that VIC *smile* up everytime. Any response to that with the current outbreak, or are you still Gladys is awesome but the VIC system is *smile*?

Yes, there was a major outbreak but credit should be given for having a much better system in place now to react to outbreaks.

again, until we sort international quarantine,

our lives will be abnormal and inconvenient, at best.

the word 'extraordinary' doesn't approach how I find it

that it takes a national cabinet to come with potential reforms to the system like

testing drivers and cleaners daily instead of weekly, or test international travellers before they get on the plane.

will it take a special council of brainiacs a year to recommend;

'that we quarantine beyond the centre of our population centres, remotely, offshore?'

why is this so? are humans by nature fairly incompetent?

I suspect so

Im beginning to think that winning the 2020 flag,

was a miracle. and that dusty should be canonised. St.Dusty.

reflecting on this, you are right. It's very heated right now in a number of threads, I'm taking a sanity break.

About bloody time

"International passengers returning to Australia will now be required to provide a pre-flight negative COVID test, while masks will become compulsory on all flights, under new National Cabinet measures."

Dont disagree with this, but suspect that the aircrews are still being overlooked.

Good to see Scott Morrison heed Hillbilly Mark McGowan's call for a recall of the National Cabinet, so that he can request for a negative Covid test for returning travellers before they board flights to Australia. Well done Mark McGowan.
Even if look at me, look at me, Morrison is taking all the credit.

"Mr McGowan has also backed testing returning travellers before they board flights to Australia, especially those coming out of places like the UK and the USA."

"I think it would be a great safety mechanism to ensure that people coming out of many countries around the world have a test and confirm they are negative before they board a flight with hundreds of other Australians," he said.

"And I think that safety measure should be implemented. To me, this is a no brainer.

"If we do this, we can better protect our citizens."

Morrison did say this morning that they would have to stay in dedicated facilities and be tested. I didn't get the details but it looks like they have finally been identified as a major risk
