GAME DAY THREAD - TIGES V POWER

Strange when you consider he was a Port player during their good days.
Short memories?
No respect?
Feral uneducated bogans?
When your pissed 24 hours a day, how are you expected to remember what happened 18 years ago?
They couldn't remember what house they live in

How do we reconcile the deliberate rushed behind non-decision with the deliberate out of bounds given against Balta while being tackled and trying to handpass over his shoulder while being slung?
We can’t win with that one. What’s the bet if he didn’t try to handball it the *smile* would have pinged him for making no attempt to get rid of the ball

The AFL loves money too much, especially after COVID, so Richmond is more of a money spinner for them than Poort.

The simplest explanation is incompetence. The next most simple, some bookie influence. But now we're getting into the realms of paranoia.
It’s not paranoia if everyone is out to get us

Did we lose this at the selection table? You could almost argue yes. Bringing in 2 debutants in a game that was always going to be played at break neck speed was dangerous. It didn’t pay off.

Caddy and Rioli in hindsight should have played instead.
Would have been very hot for Caddy and Rioli is totally out of form. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but game should have been over at half time. Port slaughtered us in the 2nd but converted poorly.

Caddy has already been found out as too slow for the pace of the game this season so including him makes no sense.

Rioli would have helped our cause.

Grimes is not right. He’s been quite poor all year.
I think he’s being held down at almost every contest. Definitely trying to remove his contested marking game & so far it’s working. Umps totally ignore it of course. We can’t buy a free kick in a marking contest.

Getting nothing from Lynch.
CCJ still suspended until round 6.
Aarts just not performing like last year. Still a better option than Rioli at the moment.
Just not seeing the depth either.
am hating what I am seeing from umpires, yet again.
ccj is available AFL ROUND 5.

Lots of footy fans saying it was a great game, again high scoring dosent mean a great game
Hocking needs to understand that. People don’t want one sided blowouts with spuds like Bruce and McKay kicking bags. They want to see a contest. If there’s heaps of goals kicked, well great, but if not they still enjoy the contest. What they’re trying to create is the AFL version of T20.

Really hate those Port front runners now. They think their *smile* doesn't stink and celebrated like they'd won a grand final last night. Well I guess this game every year is their grand final.

*smile* sick of having to play them EVERY year over there. Any chance we can play them on our home ground?? *smile* this competition is rigged. I bet if they finally fixture a game at the G next year we'll still have to go over to that shithole again.

We got them at the G in ‘19, but we did play them earlier in the season over there.

That is my point. We play them in Adelaide every year but rarely play them at the G. We have played them 33 times in H&A games; 22 have been in Adelaide. That's right, exactly 2 out of every 3 games we have played them has been on their home ground. That is outrageous fixture rigging

After the bounty we have been privileged to feast on over the past 4 years, there is only one thing that I wish for this year.....To meet these C#@TS at the G in September

Congrats on two players being blooded but against Port would not have been my call. Lost hardnuts Kmac & Pretsia & bring in two greenhorns. Balme must not have had a say in it but if he did must be slipping. Rioli everyone giving him a serve but game against Blues was ok, against Hawks what put him down then was four points (all gimme set shots) then Swans two goals whilst medic sub so it aint over the top but steady.
Do not think Daniel is on Damian's party list.

We were two men down tonight playing the kids and also nursing in a rusty underdone Houli.

Hopefully it was worth it as that 4 points lost could be the reason we have to go to Adelaide or Perth for a knockout final again for another reaming.

Hopefully we will remember to pack the Vaseline before heading over.
jumping the gun there assuming we will automatically make finals. theres some really worrying signs so far and people shouldnt automatically think we will easily get there. We have barely beaten 2 bottom 4 sides. Looking at the next 4 weeks will be a difficult stretch and i can conceiveably see us 3-5 or 2-6 after round 8

You may be right, however, we need to start blooding the youngsters, otherwise they won't develop or leave , then we would of wasted time and energy. From what I saw, we played much better than last week, and we still need to improve. Once we have this, then i feel we will continue on our merry way to the top again.

Come on, Rids. We've played them six times at the G. And only two of those were in the 90s, so we've had our fair share.

Couldn’t be the bookies - they run a straight game and don’t have much invested in the results ;)
