I fear for Gladys unknowingly rooting another corrupt politician/developer and letting slip ecstatic state secrets that are pretty easy to profit from, at the publics expense

I fear for Gladys organising a job for another former advisor with a conviction for sexual assault of a child.

We're all in this together.
Yep. Furthermore, I believe the children are our future. If we can just teach them well and let them lead the way and show them all the beauty they possess inside, then we’ll end up giving them a sense of pride to make it easier.

Good to have the Pete Evans viewpoint represented on the forum
Oh wow.

I wasn't aware that you would response by merely trying to align me with a celebrity anti-vaxxer.

For a second there I thought you might be able to counter or challenge my statements/assertions.

I am not an anti vaxxer (what an idiot response).

My passport, travel and vaccine card is filled! (for 30+ years!)

You are however welcome to demonstrate that my points are flawed.

What a joke Victoria has become .
No its the person’s fault who was sick and did not go get tested. He went to work out and about and spread the love. It’s not that hard if you are unwell stay the *smile* at home and get tested. Just wonder Stig how many tests have you had?

Hmmm.... I ignore your posts because you are confused by others postings, now mine included, and you are argumentative .
I am not going to bother replying to your statements... looks like you are an anti vax numpty.
Of course you are most welcome to your views but I don't have an inclination to tolerate them.
Oh Pete

Thanks for your graciousness............

Of course I must be an 'anti vaxxer' (except I'm not - never have been!) But that's okay - you keep it simple.

You are of course welcome to refute a single point I've made with a counter statement (rather than simpleton categorisation)

I'm an anti idiot.

I'm anti government mediocrity

I'm a critical thinker.

I believe in public freedoms.

..... and you are a fool.

Simple.

I can assure you - everything I said is readily available in Government/medical documentation should you care to look past ABC/Ch9/Ch7 and vested interest reporting.

PS - if you are under 50 - you should get this years flu shot long before bothering about COVID! This years flu season is bad!! (but don't mention the war!!)

Oh my....................... it's incredulous how much Joe Public think like this :(

Q. Where and when do we 'need' influenza vaccinations (I've only it once - when my daughters guilted me)
Q. Do you understand the risk of COVID19 to under 50's without co-morbidities? (almost zero!)
Q. Do you understand that persons under the age of 30 are at higher risk of ICU/hospitilisation from the vaccine than COVID?
Q. Do you understand that none of the available COVID vaccines stop you catching COVID19 - or spreading it?

Vaccine can not be mandated unless the Federal Government institutes/applies the National Health and Safety Act - and they have no grounds / basis to do so (because if someone started to actually challenge the data - you'd be amazed how limp this virus is!).

Why hasn't a single journalist asked how many cases of Flu we've had this year (and how many deaths!!)

Domestic Vaccine Passports are in direct violation of the Constitution.

How about we accept that those at risk should be vaccinated (elderly, co morbidity etc)?

Give them the choice to do so ...... and then let this flu (corona virus) run it's course.

The rest is pure politics!

Q. Where and when do we 'need' influenza vaccinations (I've only it once - when my daughters guilted me)
A - Then you should be grateful for the thousands of other Australians that do have the influenza vaccine in order to reduce the impact and spread

Q. Do you understand the risk of COVID19 to under 50's without co-morbidities? (almost zero!)
A - Thats correct but under 50's can still act as very efficient spreaders of Covid19

Q. Do you understand that persons under the age of 30 are at higher risk of ICU/hospitilisation from the vaccine than COVID?
A - I'm not sure there is any data I've seen of this. I've seen similar risks for the AZ vaccine which is why it isn't being recommended for Under 50's

Q. Do you understand that none of the available COVID vaccines stop you catching COVID19 - or spreading it?
A - Yes thats true, but then thats true with other vaccines sucj as influenza BUT the point of a vaccine is to reduce the impacts. It will protect some and then reduce the impacts on others. Its no difference to the way the flu vaccine works. People will still die unfortunately, however the vaccine will have the impact of reducing it to a more acceptable risk.

How about we accept that those at risk should be vaccinated (elderly, co morbidity etc)?
A - Isn't that what we are doing??? Its just people have been duped by non-experts online telling them conspiracies around it.

Its much the same as some of the 9/11 conspiracies spread by people who have little qualifications to understand what they are talking about. Some of the biggest 9/11 conspiracy theorists were high school dropouts, spouting that they knew more than experts. Covid-19 is repeating that now.

Aren't you the sane guy who told us we should be more worried about lung cancer than covid - even though cancer is not contagious?

Just wondering why anyone would bother getting tested if they've never had any symptoms or been at a cooties hot spot? See thousands of very healthy looking sheep lining up day after day waiting for hours to get a stick rammed up their nose n curious as to how many of them actually have a reason for being there.

Exactly 700 on 5/8/20.

I wasn’t questioning the number, I did the math and was making the point that 12 becomes 700 in just 2 weeks with the Indian variant’s R value.

Hopefully not, I’m absolutely dreading the idea of another seemingly endless lockdown.

Why don’t we stop the return of those selfish ‘Australians’ who want to leave our shores for various reasons and then cry fowl when something goes amiss overseas and demand to return back to Australia potentially threatening our lives, economy and even the football with a deadly disease that they may now carry.

That's my perspective also but it's not shared by everyone here. The benefits are paltry, but the cost is astronomical when it goes amiss.

People across the board don't like saying No these days, governments included.

So stupidly wrong it's hard to believe. The inept SA government allowed a contaminated man out who brought his Covid virus, likely the far more dangerous and highly transmissible Indian strain, over to spread through Melbourne:

It started in South Australian hotel quarantine

A Wollert man spent two weeks in hotel quarantine in South Australia and returned to Victoria in early May and then tested positive.

Genomic sequencing has confirmed the cases in the new cluster are all linked to the Wollert case but the "missing link" has not yet been found.

True. I'm thinking it's too late now , the time it takes to set up reasonable quarantine facilities will take longer than the (very slow) vaccine rollout. But maybe its a good investment for the future anyway.
Just nonsense. They can set up comfortable mining camps in a matter of days. Covid and numerous mutated variants will keep coming in with travelers and create risk to those who refuse vaccination, or fail to get an updated booster on time, so such facilities may be still required for years yet. Proof is in doofus Scomo now apparently 'giving full consideration' to Victorian Mickleham proposal, after fellow-doofus, Dutton, came out and dumped on the initial idea at the outset when Merlino first raised it. Morrison may be finally seeing the light re Federal govt responsibility - at what a price!

Then, when no longer required, they can easily be re-purposed as public housing.

We can't stay closed forever, we need to vaccinate faster and everyone needs to be vaccinated. Get vaccinated as soon as you can.

Wow, Daniel! So you are actually impressed and fooled by old Aunty Glad? Seriously? So sad for you.

Maybe you'd be better off fearing for what corruption she is allowing, or is the inept front-person for, in NSW.

Only the incredibly gullible.
Mate if you think Victoria is any better your dreaming happens everywhere.I give her one thing and the rest of the States in Oz they don't go into panic mode and close the state and screw people , businesses and everyday life that's there last resort panic merchants.Get on with it learn to live with it like the rest of the world has simple as that we can't even organise a vaccine.

We're a nation of travellers. Some people got caught out through pure misfortune and have the constitutional right to go home regardless of what some numpties on the internet say. HOW ABOUT the government gets it *smile* together, rolls out the vaccine and opens the borders. Travellers aren't harming the economy, the government is by failing so miserably at the vaccine rollout. And what the *smile* does 'Australians' mean? It's more Aussie to be off living a global life than to be a useless bogan from Frankston.

I have not heard of any other state govt proposing a Mickleham type camp. Wouldn't it be more likely to get through if all the Labour states at least joined forces on this campaign? What about Federal opposition exerting pressure too? Albanese could take some heat off Merlino.
