Credit where it was due. He’s been horrible the last few weeks but he was fantastic tonight. Played a great game and kicked 4 goals 2 of which were exceptional.

Still not convinced. He has a lot of talent but his effort is too sporadic. He doesn’t need to kick 4 every week but if he bought that level of effort every week he’d have a great career.

Still a baby in ruck terms. The perfect 2nd ruck / forward. Brisbane had no match up for him.

You don't get Oscar McInerney every week. And you won't get Fullarton ever again.

But Mabior got a chance to show his growth. He got cover. Weak opponents. And he showed real good.

He hasn't been horrible, Rids. He's had horrible moments.
Effort Spook. That’s his issue. He doesn’t always bring it. If he does he’s a long term AFL player. If not he’s a bit part player like he has been form years.

Liam Baker’s desire and effort with Mabior Chol’s body and talent. Imagine that footballer.

28 games. Baby.

How long did it take Chief Broom to work out how big he was? And he had McMurphy in his ear.

McInerney monstered a half-fit Nank in the final. Nank took offence and did most of the grunt work. Chol got off the chain for a handy contribution.

If he can get four shots at goal a week, he'll be a player.

6 years. And can you please translate the rest of your post for me ha ha.
Ruckman. 24. Immature.

I'll go better than translating. Read (or watch, or better, both) One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. A pre-emptive you're welcome.

Ya put your ruck hand in
Ya put you ruck hand out
Ya take a mark
Then ya kick a farkin goal

Whoa - oh the farkin Cholly
Whoa - oh the farkin Cholly
That's what it's all about.

Been waiting a long time for the Cholly man to put some game together instead of just little teasers, damn that was fun.

24 years old with just 28 games under the belt so he's still a toddler in footy terms for a big bloke. Reckon he's still got another 12 to 18 months of development n growing time needed before he hits his peak of consistency. Then there'll be probably 6 to 8 years of very good footy in front of him.

Best game position will be as he played last night, second ruck floating forward and he'll be a nightmare prospect to try n stop. Needs to play behind an old school big ugly beast ruck ie. Nank or Soldo who'll do some bashing up work for him, as he's more a leap or hustle n bustle type in the ruck.
Plays forward like a cat with a mouse, Lynch man taking the physical pack heat. Jaaack playing crazy eyes manic grin with his arse on fire ( just loved the old Jaaack back in full swing ) and Cholly just finessin, finding a little bit of space, fudging n toe poking, generally letting the Brisvegas defence think they were getting coverage or the easy option n then *smile* with their heads.

In among all of that there were still a couple of nightmare signature Cholly moves, the little brain farts that frustrate the *smile* out of all of us and make us wonder wtf are the match committee doing picking him.
Reckon he'll grow out of the worst of them with more game time n that's something the big fella needs at senior level. Reckon he'll also always have the odd moment where he simply seems to have those little brain farts, where he simply mis reads, mis times or gets out positioned at the incoming and looks horrible.
Show me a player who doesn't somehow *smile* up big time on the odd occasion during games, whether it be regular crap disposal, poor tackling, over zealous attack in contests or taking poor options during games n I'll show you a player who's better than Dusty. Pretty much every player in the comp has faults and weaknesses to their game and some of those are on serious coin.
Probably doubtful that Cholly will ever grow to be the bona fide star footballer, but he's more than capable of being a very good player n exciting at times match winner. Everyone is going to hate his little Cholly moments n death ride him for them, but I got me a feeling his good *smile* will far out weigh the bad ones.

I can’t help feeling that the past few weeks without Nank are the making of Chol. It has pushed him into areas he was previously reluctant to venture. One on one all game against beasts like Grundy. He has started to realise that he can compete, run to exhaustion, and take hits. He is finally learning and now knows what his skills really are. Huge learning curve in the past month. No longer a shirker.
