Was just rewatching our 2017 PF against GWS...again! I hated the construction of the plastic club because they were given so much talent - that a dynasty was theirs for the taking. Looking at their team from 2016 onwards...I have no idea how they didn't.

If they had half decent coaching - they should have been unstoppable - yet in reality they were always just there abouts in a Geelong sort of way. A fitting result for an artificial club.

Yes I have often wondered the same and I reckon a champion team always beats a team of champions stuff often falls to the coach but they didn’t have 37 years of pent up emotion driving them (which could also have been a negative for us) and 99,000 raving fans.

That was a cracking prelim and very tight for the first half, but in the crowd everyone was in party mode, it was like the club collectively put all the pressure on the giants and we played with freedom.

Might be due to watch it again

SOS basically blaming the coach for playing SPS in the wrong position, and then blaming the player for 'not being elite in his preparation'.

No admission from SOS that he might have drafted the wrong player.

I’d challenge the coaching comment . Grew up in Melb and followed the tigers thru the golden period of ‘67-82 , then moved to Canberra for work . Going back to Melb with my youngest son 13 years ago to see a game , walking around the CBD with a tigers polo on of course , people were constantly singing out Go Tigers , Carn the Tigers , how we going to go tonight , even a couple of of high 5’s , my son looks up at me while on a tram “you know all these people ?” sort of their the Tiger Army
Being in Canberra we see a lot of GWS games live and in tv , they are a very well coached side , but the coaching group can’t spin up the heart and soul of Punt rd and the Tiger Army
Think of Prestia going for takeaway and having his pic taken with fans , that wouldn’t happen in Sydney with GWS
Then think of the roar of the crowd in the 2017 finals , amazing in its volume and passion , blew everyone away and clearly etched on our players minds , GWS don’t have that and no coaching group can create it

6 weeks for Toby Greene.

Wonder if Richmond v GWS will be Round 7 in next year's fixture? Or is it Round 6 b.c he's already missed a game,

Bobby Hill wants out of the Giants to come back to Vic.

Any interest there? Has some skills & we could use another small forward. Then again it's the type we could get in the draft.

We need our small forwards to run their backsides off all day first and gain footy and kick goals second. We're better off targeting blue collar battlers for these roles.

Under no circumstances can we allow Jeff “The Genius” Kennett to be overthrown at Borethorn. We need this gift to keep on giving a bit longer.

Great to hear North are apparently 'debt free' .... wonder if this includes the squillions the well run clubs have essentially gifted them through way of additional handouts via head office over the past 30 odd years?

Poor fella, that would hit hard.
Would be uncommon for nut cancer to have a secondary cancer.
Wish him all the best

????? I'm assuming Cunners has an initial nut and a secondary nut as well, just as most blokes initially start out with.

Didn't Doc just have a secondary cancer as well as now Cunners? Depending on the type of cancer it's usually the most difficult issue to control. Cancer's a sneaky *smile*, hides itself away n pops up in all sorts of different places months or even years after you think you've initially managed to nuke *smile* out of it.

Not being a doctor so don't quote me but typically nut cancer has the lowest rate of re-emergence and highest rate of survival. If you get it in time it can be removed before it's spread elsewhere.
Most common form of cancer for young fellas under 30. Over 30 other cancers take over in frequency.
Not very common in women.
