Don’t mix up the man with the player, KB was an awesome player for a very long time and to me on par with Dusty as a finals player.
Agree that KB was an awesome player, especially in finals, Dusty because of his unselfishness gets the nod from me though.

We could argue that forever. Lucky to have both of them.

I am not sure anyone in the history of the game has had a better final series than KB in 1980.

To me there are 4 players who are the best we have had over the last 50 or so years. Martin, Bartlett, Hart and Richardson ( apologies to 5-6 others). What a pity Richo didn’t have a chance to shine in a great team in September.

Certainly as far as forwards go, which is what KB was in 1980 his final series is hard to beat.

Dusty has 3 Norm Smith's and 3 Gary Ayres medals, that's pretty hard to beat.

Dusty's unselfishness sets him apart though, him urging Marlion to get into position for Dusty to kick it to him still stirs my emotions...............and then the goal wow !!!

Both champions, but I can't remember KB dishing off any goals in that 1980 GF.

Some gold posts from Rimau35 that haven’t aged well given what happened in the next 5-6 years :ROFLMAO:

One of my favourites. He and a couple of others seemed to largely disappear after 2017. I wonder why?

Poor bugger spent the first couple of years repainting his house in black, teal and white.

Since then he's been sanding it off. Has probably redone it in beige by now as he's given up footy.

Try harder to remember mate.

There are six GFs in which Bartlett played inclusive of five premierships.

LTRTR would have had the handball stats at the ready by now.

Would be easier to remember the handball receives Bernie:)

Not old enough to remember, but didn't Michael Green get BOG in every finals game in 1969?

Yes, I'm pretty sure he was BOG in every game. He towelled up some great players too, Big Nick, Len Thompson and Sam Newman.

Mike probably had plenty of motivation, he was 20th man in 1967 and didn't get a run. Gee he had safe hands.

Is Rosy KB?
Heh!! You mention Rosy. I have been trying to find out how she is, on here, without luck.
Remember it was Rosy (pseudonym) who started Punt Road End, and seems to have been forgotten.
Anyone got any news about her?
