Rhyan Mansell welcome to Tigerland

I am very keen to see how Melee goes this year, given my (admittedly very tenuous) links to his extended family down there in Tassie! But any success he has I am gonna over-claim massively personal responsibility for! :cupgold
He will be a player I reckon. A good mix of Jake King, Stacky and a little Grimes.

Rapt for him.

Still not sure on Mansell. He reminds me of Ricky Pettard, a useful journeyman without that little extra spark we need. Still will be more than happy to be proven wrong
I think he’ll kick in another gear next year. He was good and solid other than giving away silly free kicks in all his games this year but we couldn’t have asked more of him.
I think next year we’ll see more of him taking the game on as he gets more comfortable.

Looks in ripping shape going by photos. Filled out really well.

One thing you know, he will get the most out of himself.

I’m buying the Mansell stocks. Hard as a cats head, quick, neat disposal, hits hard and has attitude. What’s not to like?

Agree. Mansell stocks are genuine blue chip. Wont be your flash in the pan investment. Won't be your money maker. He won't win a brownlow and probably won't win a B&F. But we can rely on him to dig in offer stability

Different role this year I suspect.

Been training down back so looks pretty much same role, plenty of run and carry, can't fault his pre-season, has nearly injured teammates on a couple of occasions though, ( I am being serious here), diving across players legs in a dangerous & reckless manner or cannoning into players. It is just training for f@#@sake!

So fans of Rhyan can be rest assured that he is in good shape, for me he's is not in my 22 but in a Covid world looks like teams are going to have to use their full list at times this year so will still be comfortable when his name appears on the team sheets.

:D Gotta love the Tassie lad!!

As he continually gets bigger/stronger he's gunna cause some serious hurt to our opponents.

Cant see why he couldnt transition onto a wing.
He does play that tough defensive role that Kmac and Pickett play. He gives away a few too many free kicks with his enthusiasm to hurt someone close to goal. So maybe the wing is a better spot.
If we have a good run with injuries this year there will be a lot of competition for spots in the best 22

Sounds a lot like our reserves skip Morro.
Will need to step up a level imo
And we haven't seen anything to indicate.

A trier and a competitor... will need to bring more to the table
