Thank goodness they didn’t move our round 1 match to a Wednesday but having the dees v doggies on Wednesday will cost the club plenty of exposure - another AFL decision that tries to undermine the tiger juggernaut.

looks like the tigers will play the doggies in round 2 then an interstate game round 3 is my guess.

What's your real thoughts coming into a full preseason for the boys. Are we really a chance for another flag?
Have we got kids who can improve enough to be best 23?
I think that ball winning midfielder will leave a huge hole in our side and we might make the 8 but will be miles off it. Especially if the AFL keep the same rules.
Collier Dawkins will be the player i will be watching over the Pre season..huge up side but does he have it in him to play 70-30 midfield.
Does Stack stay?
Does Nakas and Prestia play more then 12 games?
Regardless we should have one more charge for a flag.
Not confident with blokes picking 6 or 7 new kids either.

As we all know injuries and retirements create opportunities.

It's fantastic to see the likes of Hugo, Gibcus, Miller and Dow getting the chance to get some games under their belts, and show us what they have got.

Those 4 players are part of the future of the club, and are not looking out of place.

It also creates serious competition for spots in the team when the injured players return. I reckon this went a long way to the 2019 flag win. Early season injuries to significant players put us under the pump but I reckon we found a few. We were 7-6 and ninth after round 14, but didn't lose another match.

If I heard right, the R13 Friday night game at the G is us v Port Chokelaide.
The fixture for R12-15 just released.
Round 12 is a bye.
Rounds 13 against Port & 14 against Carlton are on a Thursday night. Terrible for families and post game celebrations in the middle of winter.
Round 15 against Geelong a ridiculous Saturday afternoon twighlight game that starts at 4.35pm.

Just posted it above. I really hope they finish with this floating fixture rubbish. A lot of complaints on SEN today.

This is *smile*, Gill  is making sure we get crap Thur's night scheduling before he sets off into the sunset.

Yes, ill be there as usual rain, hail or shine, But my wife and kids who go to every game will not be able to go. Kids have school the next day.
Many have work who start early. Then we have country members who Gill dismisses as an afterthought because if the AFL trully cared about country members they wouldn't be scheduling back2back Thurs night games.

Round 12 Bye

Round 13 v Port Adelaide MCG Thursday, June 9th 7.20

Round 14 v Carlton MCG Thursday, June 16th 7.20

Round 15 v Geelong MCG Saturday, June 25th 4.35

Yeah, hate the Thursday games but I will be away for a few weeks in June so will miss a couple of these anyway. Off to Perth so I reckon I can see a WAFL game on a Saturday arvo.

here, here. Some of the AFL's ideas in last couple of years have been poor.
It's like they feel they need to keep changing things. Why? Is it that boring in the AFL HQ office?

It’s a good idea to get high rating richmond games on a thursday night when you want to sell it to a streaming company

I hate Thursday nights, and it seems most people who go to games hate it, but apparently TV viewers like them, and therefore so do advertisers.

Looks like I'll be booking a couple of Fridays off from work in June. Hate crap Thurs night games. At least with Fri night games it's a lead in to the weekend n a lazy Sat morn. To old n cantankerous to be doing a Thurs night at the footy n then have to front up for work the next morn.
