Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

We need to get Alex Rance to do some tutoring with him. First few years Rance was a bit like Balta - superb athletically, great mark, but a bull at the gate with little composure or thought for the game. Rancie learnt that and became a superstar.

Get Rance back to work with him.
Yep - and play him at full back
A couple of years ago he was showing that he could become the equal of Rance
He was certainly better than Rancey was at the same stage.
All the filling in here and there isn’t worth it.

Get Rance back to work with him. Even if he goes back to the backline. Get Rance to shape him.
Or get Leppa back at the club.

He's getting better. Come finals he'll be peaking

was it just me or did the ump not say '15 GONE' like they do every single set shot? Not excusing Noah, but still.

It never gets called but dumb as batshit by Noah, we are finding multiple ways of how not to win this year

Forward.... Back..... Forward.... Ruck..... Back....back..... Forward...... Ruck....

This is the Hardwick musical chairs philosophy.

It's impacting Baker's game too, and Stacks development and Shorty.

It's infuriating to watch. Must be killing the players.

Just put him in the back line Hooch!!! He is not smart enough to play forward as evidenced by his brain explosion tonight which cost us a win (on top of his 15m missed goal).

But he could be a great defender. Geez Hooch is struggling.

the 15m miss was a bloody shocker. but persevere forward IMO

I notice the quickest 15 and 30 seconds sometimes.
Shouldn’t need to listen to the umpires
The player just needs to look at the screen (like the crowd does at the ground) - than make a move forward at the 25 sec mark - certainly not as late at 28-29 secs
KMac nearly went too late earlier in the game

Been a ordinary year for Noah unfortunately.

Ordinary year for Dusty, and Grimes and Edwards and others.

Only a handful have had any consistency.

The 30 second rule I don't think i've heard play on all year for players lining up for goal
Seems to me they always say 15 gone when a player is lining up. I didn't hear it, but thats by the by, he should have been aware regardless.

Same.

I can't remember another time this season

Put it into the "common sense" basket that ONLY gets applied to Richmond

Can't agree Snake. Not smart enough to play forward, But he can be a great defender. No shame in that. Rance could never have played forward.
You could well be right, and it wouldn't surprise me if you are, but I reckon he's shown enough at times and had enough almost moments to suggest he might yet click forward. And swingman abilities, even if its OK forward/ great defender, should not be underrated.
