To rub the salt into the wound for a dirty weekend Shai probably lost goal of the year to Sam Draper too.
Just try to laugh at Draper, Essendon celebrates every goal like that, fckwits.
Can't see how that is GOTY. Just a simple run and goal.
It shouldn’t even be goal of the week. 3 of Kosi Pickett’s 6 last week were better.
Shai is an enigma. Plays so brilliantly for a greater part of the matches yet spoils it by showboating or greed. However, when on song like today at the clearances l am so glad to see the majestic Shai in action

There is a significant trade off with Shai.
He is very, very attacking. It hurt us at times today.
One of the reasons I love Prestia so much is that he never runs over the ball. He makes sure to win it before he attacks.
Shai attacks first, then wins it. Or runs past it and leaves his opponent with a no pressure clearance.
Though if he does win it, it's almost a guaranteed shot at goal.
He has a lot of room for improvement. And as one of the premier players in the league, that's a scary proposition.

For me, not quite there yet but not far off. When he cuts out some of the showboating and involves his teammates more then undoubtedly he will be one of the greats of the game. That is the only things that makes him just the heir apparent to Dusty. That said when Shai is in full flight it is a joy to watchNo, he is an out and out Superstar!, (IMO)
