Has to go on one more year.
However he needs to find the right training program to get fit but keep his legs somewhat fresh. He can barely run at the moment.

Yeah this boils my *smile*. They crap on about Selwood and how great a leader he is. He's a ducker and a thrower and continually whines to the umpires. Been known to throw a cheap shot as well.
Spot on, Riddler!

Bakes can certainly attest to that during a balmy Gabba night a few year ago!

Back on Chimpah, great news!

Keep showing up Legend.
*smile* the media!

300 and a 4th ;)would be a wonderful full stop.

The narrative & silence from the media surrounding Cotchin's Premierships as Captain & his Brownlow are deliberately orchestrated.

Those mostly driving it are puppets Whately & Robbo (chuck in some Gaz Lyin) but media magnate Craig Hutchison would be the main driver of the Geelong love in & Cotch hate.

So butthurt. The bias is ugly.

Fun fact. If you add up the combined premierships won as captain by both Cotchin and Selwood you get a grand total of 3!

Commentators love to bang on about how good a leader Joel Selwood is but he’s not even in the same conversation as Cotchin.
Add a Brownlow to the mix as well!
Play on as long as you want Trent!

It's just so obvious. Throw in that *smile* Tony Jones too. If anyone watched the Footy Show on Sunday they'll know what I'm talking about.

He is playing well enough to have earnt a place in the team next season, on merit not reputation. He has also earnt the right to make the call himself whether he wants to, or can, play on next year. He puts the club first. If he feels he can’t make a good contribution on the field in 2023, I’m sure he’ll know that. He won’t play every game if he does but enough to help in our success next season. If he decides to hang up the boots, I hope he will be at the club in some sort of coaching/ mentoring role to help the next generation of Tiger premiership legends

So if by some miracle the RFC mages to make it into September, imagine the fall out if the RFC could manage to knock the Cats out in a SF or Prelim as either knocks em out

There are players you love because they are so good, like Dusty, Jack or Rance. There are those you fall in love with at first sight, like your own kids who repay your affections a thousand-fold, like Sheds and Shai. The workers you grow to love like the dog you didn't want, like Lambo and KMac.

And then there's Trent Cotchin. What can you say but O Captain, My Captain.

I will never forget the sight of him mansplaining finals footy to Stagerfraud and the Scats in 2017. Bashing up their entire midfield (that *smile*'in goal. Jesus Christ, that goal), then doing the same two weeks later to the Giants. The spontaneous, roaring standing ovation from the MCC members as he ran to the bench having bustled Phil Davis into touch in the last quarter of the prelim.

It's beyond love. It's Love, Gratitude, Awe, practically Worship. It's what mere foot soldiers must have felt for great warriors leading them into battle in medieval times.

I'd say I don't understand how the wider footy world doesn't see this. Some do, of course. I say "I'd say" because I do see why the others don't. They are small men and women who seek to drag him down to compensate for and mask their deep inner knowledge of their own inferiority. True greatness makes some swell, others shrink.

This bloke's in the *smile*'in pantheon of Tigers. Shoulder to shoulder with Dyer.

Worthy of a contract for next year.
Still our best midfield bull.
He is still in my eyes the ‘spiritual captain’ out there.
Get him to 300. Deserves this amazing accolade to be among the 300 game club.

He turned the club culture around and on his back we won 3 flags in 4 years.

This goal started our dynasty …

Who's the knuckle head at the club that thought it was a good a idea to have him replaced as our captain??
One of the poorest decisions made in the last 5 yrs, personally it matches our 1st pick used on Higgins.
