Round 22 - the dead goldfish games.

I don't know Redders

I think we lose next week for the best chance at a elimination final on the 'G. Win and we are almost certainly going interstate.
I thought about that but then the ole “don’t flirt with your form” comes to mind.

We finally have some momentum. Just keep it going and smash Essendon; which is always a joy. Who knows how the ladder falls. Trying to manipulate a favourable result is no way to enter a finals series.

McCrae: Hey Dimma I reckon we can play well in the finals!!
Dimma: Hold my beer....

There were a couple of reports during the week all is not well at Arsendon again (still).

If todays game keeps going the way it is and we beat them with any conviction next week, then I reckon they’re half a chance to pull the pin on Truck Rutten.

Few if’s there, but if they eventuate, I’m not gonna be surprised if they move on Truck.

Yep, now that lolnorf and soon GWS will be done, the Bummers and Rutten are next on the chopping block.

Late run at Clarko?

Late run at Clarko?
Dunno. But I’m hearing there’s a lot of pressure for bigger change than they’d been hoping to get away with at the end of the year, and if today and next week go bad, then they may have no choice but to go deeper and that Rutten will fall victim to that.

Right now they’ve got blokes out there going through the motions, yet again, for the umpteenth time.

Would we do a Leppa with Truck and take him back as an assistant?

I think it's damn hard these days to umpire the throw. Players are so adept at it with super quick hands and usually know where the umpire is stationed so many times the ump just can't see the act of disposal. I would hate for umpires to pay frees for what they can' t see (oh wait a minute). There was a time where the action of a handball was interpreted much more harshly but I can't see that being appropriate in today's game.
Disagree. A shovel is a throw. It’s in the rules definition. They just don’t apply it. Like the shrug to raise an opponents tackle high. It’s been in the rules for years. They just let Selwood get away with it until Jack G turned up.
It ain’t that hard.
The issue is the AFL don’t mind illegal stuff if it keeps the ball moving. This they won’t penalise throws.

That last goal typifies Arsendon to a tee. Disgraceful.
There's a couple of winners out of Essendon being a debacle again.

Dodoro, who can claim another trade and draft victory; and the guy who churns out the same article every March about Stringer being the fittest he's ever been.
