Training For 2023

I'll throw up Terry Wallace-style if that happens. Departure lounge 1A.
I can't see the sense in letting go players like Butler, Higgins, Stengle & Castagna & then ushering in a new era of experimentation. This season was meant to be the locked & loaded year, we've got a first rounder on the line, all I'm getting is deckchair vibes.

That's all preseason is though, vibes.

We'll know by round 5-6.

I fancy Mansell for the sub role. Can cover defence, forward or even mid. Gives flexibility and a bit of agro too
While i wouldnt sign his delisting letter just yet, i would be amazed if Mansell is anywhere near our best 23, regardless of any perceived flexibility.

I reckon we're multi-skilling to build our depth.

We will but I'm decidedly uneasy, at the moment it's hard to see us bettering our 2022 finish, god forbid this doesn't turn out to be a repeat of 2021.

We had the depth, we sold our peripheral players and are now going through some rebuilding phase. I loved the Campbell pick, that was textbook drafting but it certainly won't be instant gratification. Mansell is borderline best 22, he doesn't strike me as having a lot in the arsenal, just a bog average flanker.

Going by what I'm saying, Balta failed his test last season.

pre season nerves? Come on everyone, it's exciting to have two additional quality players like TT & JH. if we get the ball out of the centre by 50%, we will win most matches.

If we're wondering where our forward pressure will come from, 'Rhyan Mansell' is potentially part of the answer.

Agree. Only a practice match Saturday and we'll have to see how we start the season but 0 points scored from forward 50 turnovers isn't a great start
