Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

@Redford you were right last week when you said he was no good up forward. I have come around after tonight. He has mo forward smarts. Can’t impact the contest, cannot read the flight of the ball and cannot hit the scoreboard.

Back to the wing.
I reckon it’s back to the VFL. He’s been ordinary all year for mine. Or sub.

Where playing up forward specifically is concerned, he only likes flying from behind. Otherwise, when the ball is in the air he looks timid. Especially if he has to stand under it a bit.

The only concession I’d give him up forward is that we’d be better off looking for him lower on the lead than expecting him to take strong contested marks or marks with a lot of flurry around him. Maybe that’s a coaching/tactics issue.

WTF is wrong with this bloke. I'm a fan but geez this season he has played timid soft footy.

WTF is going on??

Why is it so hard for the coaches not to see this??? He'd be better in defence.

Ooh, I don't know . . . maybe because we have a dozen half back flankers and there's only 2 spots in the team.

We need another non-tall defensive pressuring defender like a hole in the head. We need forwards so they tried it out. It clearly hasn't worked and Pickett needs to go back to the wing where he is very effective. He also needs to just go for it, looks scared of being fined for being on the ground these days.

Thought he was very good against the Cats in that role but last night looked lost up forward.
Tried to play from behind & kept being beaten to the ball. We've also lost something on the wing.
I also think his edge has come off a bit. Was interested in hearing him say Dimma has told him to curb his game a little. He's playing like it.

Need to get another 35 odd games into this bloke so he cracks 100. Heard his kids are looking pretty good and the club want so keep father / son an option. We have not had many good options in this deep pool lately so hope it works out. On the other hand I am a big fan of Marlion - great bloke with great attitude towards the game and the Tigers.

Yep even looked timid at times last night. Back to the wing to recover some form and hopefully a bit of grunt as well. We need him in form so much.

Graham ( terrible nothing game of plodding behind his opponant all nighg ) on a wing and not marlion was madness
Yeah we need Foosh back on a wing, but bagging out Fridge for plodding along is *smile*. Bloke busted his arse all night chasing Essendrugs players that a bunch of our other players weren't capable of or couldn't be bothered chasing.

May have allready said this , however I can some what understand the idea behind MP forward , however ffs he hasn’t offered anything there , Surley he’s better on a wing or half back and Kmac does the opposite if they to persist with Ross on wing

Has been terrible particularly last couple of games. Just isn't the same player up forward. Has age caught up with him?

With Ross playing a bit better now, he may be on the way out.

1 more *smile* attempt to mark the ball and I'm going down there.
He struggles to mark on his own.
I knew the combination of him and Flappers was a not a highly skilled combination but both are delist quality now.
Pickett is scared either ti get reported or he has been told to hold back.
He has side stepped 1 to many contests for my liking.

Marlion is in horrible form. Fumbles, slow to move the ball, gets caught doing too much etc etc. Sam Banks must play before him for the rest of the year, if not Judson. When’s his contract run out?

Need to keep playing him to get him to 100 games. Don't worry about his form. And should never have been taken off the wing.

Couldn’t care less about the father son. I will probably be in a box by then and AFL likely to have changed the rules. That’s if they are world beaters in the first instance. I want to see youth flourish.

Has been dragged from pillar to post, wing, forward, midfield. I though he started ok, but then made a few poor decisions, I hope he play midfield again next week.

Marlion looked like he thought he was playing wafl again, seemed to think he had time he didn’t have
That’s how he has been playing all year. Been atrocious, I know something bad is going to happen when he gets the ball. Trying to baulk players whilst he is in slow motion!!
