Thanks for the memories George. Sad to see u go. Selfless act maybe a bit like Griggy - hope we have somebody in mind for mid season draft.

Just went and had a look at some stats. George had only played 5 games before the 2017 season, he kicked 26 goals in that premiership year, a very good achievement.

One of my simple pleasures was going to the footy and screaming out “Cantstandya” on top of my lungs.
You’ll be missed George. You were never dull

Loved George. I'll miss him. Watched the 19 GF a couple of weeks ago. He was magnificent. A powerhouse. Ran his opponents ragged, hit hard and team first. And pound for pound one of our best contested marks. Always thought his strengths were undervalued and his weaknesses over emphasised. It was in part that his strength was also a weakness, he always went full-tilt and that meant he would sometimes bite off more than he could chew. I didn't mind that. There were times when he actually looked like the film had been sped up a fraction. A bigger component of our three flags than a lot realise.

Bit of a chicken and egg situation I reckon, did he lose form and confidence first or lose the hunger first? Probably inextricably linked, who knows?

The moment when he got the ball in the centre and took off at 100mph in the second Q 19 GF, that's up there with the most exciting footy moments I've ever witnessed.

All the best Georgie, thanks for the memories.

Rumour is that he's joining Dimma at the Suns.

He would still be on our list, right? Or was he delisted prior to the mid-season draft? Maybe we could use him to help get their first pick.

Just heard this from BF podcast. How strange considering that stuff up there last year. Good luck with the humidity...

Tell em their dreaming. Which young first round draft picks spot is he taking?

Dead set I loved George but he is done

It’ll take George ages to drive to the GC If he drives the way he played he’d go via Perth> Darwin> Adelaide>Sydney>Alice finally reaching his destination GC after 6mths
