A Small Light on Disney is pretty good. Dramatisation of those that hid Anne Frank and companions during WWII

Never thought I'd say this about him but Dave Chappelle's new special, Dreamer is not only not funny, but worse, it's boring. Should have called it FIGJAM.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night, strays from the book a bit, but still enjoyable.
I've enjoyed it so far, though this seasons is a massive flip from being a loaner to leading a team.

It's based on the 11th book in the series, so different character development.
If you've read the books you'll know how far both series veer off the original stories.

Ah, I haven't read the books so it's all new to me

Has anyone watched the scrubland series on Apple TV? I read the book by Chris Hammer and really enjoyed it and i am not an Apple TV subscriber and was wondering if I should bother.

Worth getting a month of Apple TV. Heaps of good stuff on there IMO sorry can’t help with scrubland though.

Severance.
Slow horses
Silo
Foundation (if you like sci fi)
Morning wars just for the theme song
See
Bad sisters
After party (very funny)

There are some good movies / docos too

Still
Coda
Luck (family)
Tetris
The banker

I have read all the 8 Slough House (Slow Horses) books by Mick Herron and I forgot that the first couple have been adapted to a series. Gary Oldman and Kirsten Scott Thomas is a pretty stellar lead cast, might have a look. If you like spy genre books they are excellent.

I wonder if the Foundation sc-fi series based on Isaac Asimov's books from many years ago? Was a big fan as a young fella

i'm really enjoying Slow Horses. What would be the two other best series on that list RE?

Yes Sinners, (very) loosely based on the Asimov trilogy. They take some of the concepts and characters and that's about it. It's entertaining - one of the new elements they introduced around the emperors was the best thing about it IMO. I gave up on it in season two though.

Ok. It’s so long ago when I read them I would be struggling to remember much I think.

I think I enjoyed the following two the most.

I think after party is very clever.
It’s a light comedy murder mystery but every suspects tale is told in a different movie genre.
It’s not complex by any means.

I forgot to mention Acapulco.
This show again is quite light but a very clever feel good family comedy.
A hidden gem.
It’s actually my #1 pick. If you just want to relax / enjoy / laugh.

Very different to Fargo which I’m enjoying.

Also shout out to the fighting sequences in see. Amazing. Blind people cutting each others throats using all sorts of sound tricks.

Finished Season one of Slow Horses. What a show. Realistic spy show, great pacing.

Can’t wait to get through the next two seasons.
