Some people can pull off the 3 day growth. Most can not.
Ever notice Dimma scratching himself a bit during interviews? Dermatillomania. It's now called Dimmatillomania coz there's a lot of mozzies up there....

Might be different for the GC fans - all 12 of them - but he came across as very stale and flat to me. Maybe coz I’ve seen his show so many times, dunno. But he just gave off yesterdays man vibes.

Realistically, I can't see any sudden success, even as GWS or Scumwood type. Won't happen. This is all ego-driven rubbish planted by the AholeFL. They can't succeed with a low supporter base. Chaos is exhausting in humid air. We the supporters pumped up our players during most games and you hear many players mention they need that during games. I'm actually comfortable if we lose to them in that Ground Zero game to further inflate their hype and then watch them crash (again) as the season goes on. Get the popcorn out.

It’s gotta be weird for the players having such a big ex Richmond contingent up there. They must be thinking “what we’re just gonna copy Richmond ?”

Reminds of 40 odd years ago when St kilda thought just getting ex Carlton players (Marcou, Jezza, Wow, McConville, Sheldon, Brown) would make them successful.

or St Kilda again 30 odd years ago getting ex Hawks like Morris, Anderson, Russo, Ralphsmith, Handley, Harding hoping they’d bring success.

Those two periods were actually successful by St Failure standards.

Lost his humility. Hubris dimma. Jaded

Much love but he's not the same man

agree

he's just doing what he's paid for.

humility on the GC is as desirable as women in the LNP.

I reckon he'd be hating it. It's all about him. they're treating him as if he will have the impact of peak Gary Ablett jr and peak dustin Martin and peak Nat Fyfe and peak Charlie Curnow instantly.

I drew the very long bow from his demeanour,

thats hes thought 'I can BBQ a few more snags for $10m bucks, how hard can it be?'

but he's in shock at the reality of the chasm between GCS culture and RFC culture,

and the prospect of doing it all again, without Benny and Peggy

GCS as an institution had no grasp of footy club cultural basics when Dimma arrived.

in terms of sausages, if he is to succeed,

he'll need to breed a calf, cut off its nuts, grow it, kill it, mince it, stuff it, store it, and go to BBQ's galore and buy a BBQ, a gas bottle and a set of tongs,

before he even opens his sausage recipe book.

Well he’s going to fail regardless because everyone knows chicken sausages are the modern way to success. Crushed and minced beaks with a bit of sage. Can’t be beaten.

Paul Keating and Jimmy Bartel used to have 3 days growth,

3 hours after shaving.

Dimma looked like he just got out of bed, and Mark Evans was off camera pretending to be a monkey waving two little baggies of coke

Andrews the butcher in Yarraville did a mean Chicken/Mango sausage a few years ago. Big fat & tasty. Their cheese kransky goes OK too.

See, they’re precisely the guys who can pull it off. By 5pm they’ve got that gnarly, rolled up sleeves, undone tie look that says “I’ve had a crack today and I’m not finished yet either jerkoff.” Like Jack Lemmon in The China Syndrome. Whereas people like Ben Rutten just look lazy.

Glen Archer three reasons to like him.

1. Only player to consistently hold Richo.
2. Doesn't play against us anymore.
3. Paid opponents wrestling fine.
His Daughter plays for Park Orchards. She's a sniper just like him.

Cheap shots behind the play.

That's basically the Park Orchards way.
