Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

LOL - that was Fagan as he was worth 5 goals to them.
I reckon it was Dimma. Balta closed down one of their KPF. That's an obvious loss to a coach.
Houli probably played a role he was asked to play. That wouldn't have been as obvious to the opposition coach.

Having seen Bachar play on Saturday night, I must say I think the end is nigh for the old warrior.

Still serviceable, but looks to have lost just a little bit of pace, and thought his disposal looked shaky at times.

It is going to hurt to see him go, and deep down I hope he is playing injured and that is the reason he looks out of sorts, but I don't think there is a reason other than age catching up with him.

Agree.

Without any malice Bacha been considered as being a retirement possibility each year since 2017 if for no other reason than being on of the oldest. Has proved those were premature but does seem he isn't as consistently reliable so far this year. But made as the team improves he will return once last time as a finals specialist.

I agree he's not in his best form yet but he's building match fitness after basically no pre season. Let's revisit this post in a month.

Your being very kind.
He was very ordinary, both from defending and then when into attack. His kicking lately has been very hit and miss.
And im a massive Houli supporter.

Agreed. And I've been pretty hard on Bachar over the years. He's the kind of player you can carry a little bit in a good side. Our current side is compromised with injury but he gets a gig in a full strength side IMO. Just too useful with the option he provides out of defence, he gives opposition trouble with his running. If there's a bloke who's aging and not really getting it done, it's Caddy.

Yeah, Bachar's doing fine. His kicking isn't that far off where it normally is. He'll be there at the pointy end this season.

I sure hope so, Bachar on song is a great player and his influence at the club is invaluable. Such a nice person, saw him on that Ripple Effect show and you could see that he just doesn't understand prejudice, it confounds him.

But, you can see age is catching up with the injuries. He would know he is close to the end, just hope he knows when to pull the plug and does it with his usual dignity, really don't want to see him pushed.

Think he needs a rest. Struggling physically at the moment.

I wonder if there isn't a bit of confirmation bias with Bachar and Cotch. Bachar's been on a one year contract forever, and with both we see the soft tissue injuries and extrapolate to the end.

He looks a bit rusty but so do Vlastuin and a few others. Our system is a bit off but when it adjusts we may see Bashar's best when it counts.

I thought he was good tonight. Plenty of run off the ball. Almost back to his best.

Lost some more speed. Never seen him look so slow. 100% last season.
