Changes for Qualifying Final

Meatball looked to be moving with pretty high intensity. I think he plays.

In: Lynch, Bolton, Prestia

Out: Chol, Ross, Caddy

Prestia moving well in today's intra club. Certain starter. Even with managed minutes still reckon he'll get 15-20 touches. Seems to have put on size too.
Impressive midfield, can't tag them all. Martin, Cotchin, Prestia, Edwards, Bolton, Graham, Lambert
Bolton playing as magical as Edwards has helped immensely with our midfield depth and Jack Graham's last 4-5 games say no more, he has been fantastic.

Noticed Astbury in the ruck against Chol at one point there. May have been a one-off but maybe they're looking at other pinch hitting ruck options?

Based on that I will be very surprised if he doesn't play.

It's a very different scenario bringing someone back vs taking someone in with some sort of niggle.

If he has been able to lay the physical preparation down then the risk of playing him is basically zero, especially as he didn't have a soft tissue issue.

It really just comes back to his touch which is unlikely to be an issue for an experienced player.

Touch and match fitness, agree the first won't be an issue. So he'll play on reduced minutes, step it up each game. Tough on whoever misses out to bring Dion back in, but has to be done. He's too good to leave out.

Be good if Tich can step up his game each week too!

Ins Prestia Lynch Bolton
Out Chol Ross Castagna (I think both Aarts and Caddy should play if fit)

Really hope Aarts is selected, even though I can understand why if he has to make way. His rise has been one of the highlights of the season for mine.

I pretty much agree, however I can’t see Georgie been dropped and fair enough too, it’s going to be a big pressure game an potentially very slippery and thats when his at his best

George hasn't been dropped in 4 years

Richmond’s Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge provides Richmond Media with the latest injury report, brought to you by Victor Sports.

Dion Prestia, ankle

"Dion trained with us last Friday. He's been training for a couple of weeks now, but last Friday we did a bit of an internal practice match and he participated in the whole game and has pulled up really well. So he'll be available for selection this week."

Tom Lynch, hamstring

"Tom's tracking really well. Tom has been running at high intensity for the past week, and on Saturday he completed a fairly strong session with high intensity running and some football. Tom's going to join in to a little bit of skills on Monday, and we'll make a decision later in the week as to his availability for this week's game."

Shai Bolton, corked calf

"Shai trained fully last Friday in the practice match that we had, and he'll be available for selection as well this week."

Josh Caddy, patella tendon soreness

"Josh, going back to the Adelaide game, had an incident during the game and was quite sore at half-time. We taped him up and he went back on the ground after half-time. He was a little bit sore through his patella... He started running again yesterday (Saturday) and actually was a lot better than expected, so we'll look at him joining some training this week, and we're hopeful he is available, but we'll make a decision later in the week as well."

Jake Aarts, shoulder soreness

"Jake came off late in the Adelaide game with a knock to his AC joint, and was quite sore. Given we've had the bye and a little bit of time for that to settle, he'll fully train this week and be available for selection."

Jack Higgins, calf

"Jack came off with a very minor calf strain against Brisbane in the scratch match last week. He'll miss this week then go through a very short-term rehab process and hopefully be available the following week."
