Cricket

I’ve also heard that it will be the same pitch next year as well.

Series killer
Entertainment killer

I absolutely love test cricket, but this is a snore feat.

Dull lifeless pitch. More of the same next year. FFS

I reckon people are too quick to judge the pitch.

This test still a chance for an exciting finish.

And good stat from swamp on twitter - the last 150 wickets taken in Aust have all been by NSW bowlers (Jackson Bird was the last non, although apparently he was from NSW originally too)

28000 people at a 2nd day Melb test .
Gotta be the lowest crowd ever...

Apart from Boxing day, not many are interested anymore. Will be the same for the Sydney Test.

Those Indian are very slow anyway. Test cricket is a very boring sport by nature anyway.

They've been ultra cautious here, but they're strokemakers by nature. Scored 360+ on Day 1 v West Indies in October.

After 9/250 in Adelaide and 6/277 in Perth, 2/215 is unders from an entertainment perspective. Caulfield/Randwick on the iPad was a welcome diversion.

Peter Siddle might need to have a good hard look at himself. Looked like a division 6 cricketer. Perhaps he should be eating Turkey at Christmas rather than looking like one.

He should of taken it but it didn't even make his hand is what I mean.
Head and Cummins do at least have the defence of toiling away in tbe field all day. Sids was fresh, but not mentally switched on.

Begs the question as to why the 34 y.o. fast bowler is sub fielding. Is there not a 20 yo. gun fielder they could have used in Melbourne anywhere?

Handscomb is the only other player in the squad, but he was released to play junk cricket.

Plenty of times in the past they've just grabbed a local to sub, Jordan Silk in Tassie a few years ago springs to mind. Pucovski or Travis Dean busy?

Yep, agree. I'm just grasping for excuses...
