His consistency is, well, consistently ordinary. Last 10 test innings: 3, 28, 8, 5, 72, 21, 33, 27, 4*, 11 @ 23.5tigerman said:Another terrible dismissal from Khawaja, too close to the stumps to be cutting. second test in Pucovski out Khawaja.

Yep, Australian cricket is screaming out for some calming consistency from our more mature batsmen but Finch (age 32) and Marsh (35) were found wanting and have gone. Khawaja not far behind.Ridley said:Yeah how Khawaja escapes scrutiny is beyond me. He is claimed to be the only staple of the batting line up but his recent performances have been distinctly underwhelming; not really any better than any of the other batsmen that have been tried in the past few series. One 50 in his last 10 innings; that's very poor.
His position should be under serious review; would not mind seeing Will P. get a go in his spot.

Yep x 3. I really thought Khawaja had turned a corner but India worked out where to bowl to him and his inability to turn the strike over bogs him down and eventually gets him out. England will have made a note. As it stands, Smith needs to return at 3.MD Jazz said:Finch batting has never displayed calm consistency - at any level. Khawaja has been disappointing since that seemingly breakthrough performance against Pakistan.
