Geez we went from looking in a dire spot until Smith saved us again with Head and Wade.

Lyon the GOAT on that pitch carved em.

Didnt see a win 2 days ago what a massive result that is!!

Yep, hope it knocks the *smile* outta those smug poms.

Have a look at the stands for the aftermatch empty AF, so much for the staunch stiff upper lipped Poms and the Barmy Army!!

Weak as *smile* couldnt get out of there fast enough.

Bash them at Lords and twist the knife in!!!

Don’t forget Siddle 44 in the first dig, he enabled us to get a competitive first innings total. And don’t forget the poms were a bowler down.
Very satisfying win though, Wonder what changes they will make? Bancroft and Siddle may go out although I hope the stick with the same side. Siddle desperately unlucky in the second dig not to get a couple.

Well done team! Nice riposte to the boorish Edgbaston crowd who conveniently ignore their countrymen wrote the book on cheating, from WG Grace down...Now to hopefully break them at Lords.

Lol, I’m in heaven. Great win.

And yes, I’ll cop the hit on Wade, leysy. Well deserved.

But I still reckon Paine is a looming problem.

Carey strokes that pill like a test batsman.

While Lyon and Cummins will rightfully receive the plaudits for their day 5 bowling, I am struggling to remember a better wicketless performance than Peter Siddle's. Poor bloke had no luck at all. Bowled beautifully.

A fantastic win by the Aussies, after being 8/122 to go on and win by 250 odd runs is incredible.
Smith's century in each innings in his first test match back in the side, is one of world sports greatest redemption stories.

I am not a fan of Steve Smith the man at all, however what a mighty mighty cricketer he is. Definitely would have to be in the argument as the silver medalist with Waugh and Ponting for our greatest batsman outside Bradman.

I don’t think England are much chop though.

Smith's biggest failing seems to have been not stopping what Warner engineered. By all accounts, at the time Warner was given a licence to do what he wanted as long as it was to our advantage. More lack of conviction and leadership than malice with Smith

Smith probably wouldn’t like me either Baloo, just not my type of personality, brilliant batsman though, not sure his overly great Captain or leader of men though, however my opinion on that is irrelevant.

Warner I have in the same boat as Tomic, however that’s just my opinion , I don’t want to rain on an excellent performance from an Australian team.

Agree, and Boof as coach needs to take a lot of the blame too.

Yup, I've said the same thing before. Sadly, our cricketers' nicknames (Bacchus, Swampy, Tugga, Punter, Warrney) are not exactly inspired and Garrrrrry is the worst of the bunch. FOT, Pugsley, Afghanistan and Millard are a few exceptions.

NSW cricketer David Hourn had a good nickname........Cracker.
But the best of all, is the The Don.

Waugh wouldn't even make the semis. Chappell, Harvey, Border, Hayden, Gilchrist ahead of him.

I'd have Clarke, Martyn, Slater and Junior Waugh ahead too.

On the radio this morning, the quiz question: Who is the only cricketer in history who had a higher batting average than Smith after 65 tests?

Couldn’t be much further apart on this spooker, I think your 4 are 4 of our most overattted cricketers , Clarke had the most outstanding 18 months of crickets making huge scores against all sorts of minnows, that bumped his average up . Martyn good player , but the team he played him made him look better then he was, Juniour complete opposite to his champion brother, you could count on one hand how many times he actually stood up after we’d lost a couple of early wickets , pretty to watch bat who missed out on all the gritty stuff while in the whom. Very good cricketer Slater but in Waugh’s class lol come on now. ;)

On the others I can only really comment on Hayden and Gilchrist and i think there on a par in different ways, Border and Chappell’s records speak for themselves, however I can’t put them in front or behind S Waugh.

I’ll give you the fact your much more knowledgeable on Cricket then I though
