Cricket

All you can say is well played Stokes, an amazing innings.
It's an incredible couple of months that Stokes has had, the World Cup final, and now this Ashes series.

I still reckon he should be in jail.

That was as bad as you’d see by Lyon. Just horrific.

And Paine’s review was terrible. Never gonna be out and then we had none left for the one that probably was out.

And they are supposed to be our cool heads. The Paine review was just plan stupid.

That is a disgrace Australia. Bowl a team out for 67 but lose the match.

Harris dropped a difficult catch but it was catchable. Lyon; what more can you say about that missed run out. It was u/12 error stuff.

Not sure there’s any coming back from that. It’s a massively devastating loss.

All credit to Stokes. An incredible innings helped by Aussie blunders.

If Richmond lose I can never appreciate the quality of the match. Australia and cricket is different. An anti-climax but still a special match that reinforces why Tests are where cricket's heart is.

Will be hard for Australia to bounce back from given our bowlers were (just) outlasted fair and square. And we still have a squad full of shaky batsmen.

Cummins and Hazelwood bowled tripe to Stokes and Leach. Just short and wide trash. Very rarely did they try and put it in the block hole. Really poor bowling.

The Lyon LBW was plumb. That was a terrible decision by the umpire. Was out and they all knew it except the umpire.

Mark Taylor just said that Australia will feel that they missed an opportunity!!!! Isn't that the biggest understatement ever.

we were found wanting at the death for sure. Ground seemed to get smaller and smaller!

You listen to Ponting’s commentary. He has a better understanding of what needs to happen than our blokes. As he said never going to get the LBW from over the wicket. Then Paine was stupid enough to review.

Amazing innings by Stokes. Will be remembered forever.

Continued to bowl short to Jack Leitch. What was the point? He was out there to waste deliveries and get Stokes back on strike, and we made almost no attempt to make life difficult for him.

because they crap their daks and cave?

Didn’t work here, snakey.

And it was umpire Wilson who had a shocker in the first test, in the end he was just guessing.

He can't be giving that out. You could clearly see the middle and off stumps outside Stokes' front leg. The ball's drifting to leg and clips the front pad. It could have been hitting leg stump at best, and the batsman gets the benefit of the doubt.

Ball tracker showing it hitting middle and leg is rubbish. A *smile*-stir.

It doesn't worry me, but the ball tracker I saw had it smashing into leg, not middle and leg, which is what it looked like to the naked eye. I don't really blame the ump though, big crowd, not hitting middle as you say, general jumping at shadows with DRS, but the Payne review in hope was inexcusable.
