Surgery. Doesn’t sound too good.
Nope not ideal a high tendon injury.

A lesser player on the list probably just sits the rest of the year out. Similar to 2020 with the surgery to Lambert for his Syndesmosis injury, I think it was 2020 mightve been 2019 I cant remember.

Surgery is just to try and speed up recovery in the case that the Tigers might go deeper into September.

If that fails to eventuate he will be better placed to start pre season without any issue.

This is an opportunity for Stack to come in and play his role?
Thoughts?

I hope I am wrong but it wouldn't surprise me to see Optimus retire at seasons end following yet another hamstring operation. He has a thriving farm and winery to take care of and another bad re-occurrence to his dodgy hamstrings could be the deciding factor

Reading between the lines of Burge's injury report, even if we got to week 2 of the finals and beyond, Grimes is more unlikely thank likely to play again this year.

Nuh, I reckon he'll keep going for another couple of years.

Agree, I don't think he would have taken the captaincy on if he had any plans of retiring soon. I reckon 1 more as captain & then they normally like to play for another year before retiring. Unless of course the hammies get to a point of he can't go on anymore.

I think over the remainder of his career the days of playing on the Charlie Cameron's of the world need to stop. Was so good at playing tall & small. But to prolong his career needs to stick to the 2nd or 3rd key tall from now on.

I'm of the opposite view.
